Pack into the compression sack when you pack the rest of your gear. You won't ruin a bag leaving it compressed for a short amount of time.
I am reading into that you already know not to store the bag compressed.
The older model T3's were made with an aluminum recoil lug. Some folks experienced issues with the aluminum lug when shooting high recoil calibers. E.g. 300 Win mag.
Tikka fixed this problem by building the newer T3X models with a steel recoil lug.
If you have an older T3, it's pretty easy...
This is good advice. I'll add this. Check out the State of Georgia Extension office. I have a feeling they might know a thing or two about peach trees.
I am seriously doubting the claimed 0 and 15 degree temp ratings with only 650 down. 20 and 35 is probably more likely. Based on the weights (almost 3lbs and up) I could be wrong.
I would have more peace of mind with an Enlightened Equipment Revolt bottom quilt plus a quality top quilt...
.243 or 6 CM are good choices. I would take the 6 CM over the .243, but the .243 has better ammo availability.
I'll also add the 25'06 for consideration.
I don't like the .223 for whitetail. Maybe with the 77gr TMK on close shots with little chance of hitting bone.
1. Chili Flavored Top Ramen
2. Pepperoni
3. Peanut butter filled pretzels
4. Peanut M&M's
5. Nongshim Ramen
6. Dehydrated Santa Fe Refried beans on a tortilla
If you can, add a packet or tuna or salmon to ramen. It gets even better if you add dehydrated vegetables.
@Lawnboi gave good advice. After the cost of a stock and coating you're almost at the price of a Christiansen Mesa in .300 Win.
Keep the Bergara and get a lightweight rifle instead of trying to trim weight off of the Bergara.
@rileybassman, I'm glad to hear that. It sounds like Remington tried to improve QC before they went bankrupt.
I just read lots of horror stories or hit and miss QC stories. It's enough to make me avoid Remington until I'm certain Ruger has had time to implement QC measures across the board...
@wildcat33, nobody mentioned Hikvision because it's currently banned for sale in the US, IIRC. Due to security concerns.
I may be misunderstanding the ban. It might only apply to US Gov and contractors. Regardless of who it applies to, lots of camera vendors dropped Hikvision and other Chinese...
Aa others have suggested, wired is better than wireless. I have installed both and clients always found something not to like about the wireless systems eventually. Wired systems are more reliable in my experience. Whatever you choose, may sure you actually check that the cameras are recording...
IMO, you can't go wrong with either. Both are great rifles.
Pre-'64 model 70's are sought-after rifles. Often considered the pinnacle of craftsmanship from Winchester.
An '81 Featherweight is also a great rifle. I've got a Featherweight in 30'06. Coincidentally, this was given to me by a...
I haven't looked at reliability issues specific to the model 70 EW. The model 70 action is controlled feed and uses a Mauser style extractor. That type of action is one of the most popular used by dangerous game hunters and PH's in Africa. If people trust that type of action as their pants get...
@ram94 has a good list started. I'll add 25'06 and 6.5 PRC.
IMO, 140gr bullets pushed faster than about 3,000fps is where my recoil discomfort starts. I think that's around 17lbs of recoil. Pick any popular caliber below those criteria and put them in a 7lb rifle for comfortable recoil.
