Had a PH2 rebarreled recently - took maybe 2-3 weeks and cost $550. I went to a 22” 7 PRC and it is the element barrel profile FYI - so you loose a little weight and bulk.

Federal ELD-X and Terminal Ascent 170s are both great loads that are fast, good pressure, and consistent in my guns.

Ok so final update - long story short, we opted to send to seekins for an actual re-barrel - don’t recommend trying to cut into the PH2 flutes - they are so deep that concentric threads are tough.
But the interesting facts - the re-barrel was with a 7PRC element barrel for $550.
It saves a...
Higher elevation = less bullet drop/less speed loss due to less pressure - yeah something must have not been correct first calculation. Either way, the bullet is PLENTY fine at 600 with a muzzle of 2800 :)
That seems a bit quick... Running it through shooter at my elevation (3000) with tested and verified speeds and I don't even see 2400 at 600 yards with a muzzle of 2975...

At 600? Plenty... 2800 muzzle with the 175 eld-x will get you ~2K FPS and ~1700ish Ft. Lbs at 600 yards. That bullet will take you quite a bit further - using 1800 FPS for ELD-X expansion will get you 850+

Somewhat agree - the 23.5 works for me, but it's not an extreme lift angle - I'm sorta a tweaner. I do like the 22" for "daypack" mode tho and end up rolling short for the day hunts I do.
1) - Yes, keeping meat high on the shelf is not an issue, you can use the bag connection, two independent frame straps, or the crib to accomplish this depending on how you want to do it.
2) - IMO compression works fine/great. The bottom compresses really well. The top you can run with or...
I have Ivory holsters and Razco holsters both of which are made for the Exo k4 belt.
Both work great - Ivory fits a hair better on the belt with the curvature, but the features on the Razco are better and you can get light bearing options. Like both - carried ivory last year and trying out the...
