I'm going to have to read up on this some more. I know I'd love to apply for CO moose and sheep but I can't front the state $4,200 for a few months. Well I could, but I ain't. If I drew the tag, I'd happily fork over the dough but that's a lotta money to have tied up.
Insane. Sheep are some incredible creatures. I'd love to just set eyes on them in a more "natural" environment. I've never seen a sheep that wasn't within view of a paved parking lot etc.
This.
Also for those who haven't, you can google your device name and "mah" to get an idea of how many charges you can get out of your charger. For example I searched "iphone 5s mah" and see it's a 1,560 mah battery. My charger is 10,000 mah so can in an ideal world get about 6 full charges of...
You don't need cell service, just a GPS signal which you're always connected to even on airplane mode. With onxmaps you can pre-download your maps and the GPS still gives you all the info you mentioned and more. I'll never go back to a GPS unless something really wows me.
Battery life on...
Are you wearing electronic ear pro? Even at not-as-long ranges, depending on conditions, distance and hearing, you'll get to a point where you're going to need to be seeing the hit through the glass or having someone/phonescope there to do it for you.
I've gotten $250 worth of peace of mind out of my InReach. I charged it in July for vacation and it has sat in my gear tote since. I pulled it out a few weeks ago and it was still 100% charged.
Keep the info coming Luke, I really enjoy hearing your experiences and thoughts on this project. Really cool.
Now, let's be honest...how f-ing brutal is this thing to shoot? :D
Nerding out!
My personal niche for a rifle like this is about zero, for Luke it makes total sense and is really cool to read about. If I'm not mistaken, this pushes out the unicorn Kifaru Rambling Rifle in the weight department and looks better doing it. Great stuff Luke!
I just don't have that loving relationship with any shops or shop owners, for better or worse I guess. One thing I will not do is go in to a small business/local shop, fondle their wares, then go buy them online or elsewhere. Big box stores, maybe.
A local gun and archery shop that I have...
I hear you man, it's just a different animal. I posted a picture of my wearing my pack for Colorado elk last year and several friends on Facebook thought my 5200 ci pack was huge and what could I possibly have in there. You leave the hunting-specific items out and you can drop ci and pounds in...
Giving you advice I need to be be better at taking myself...until you figure something out, see about changing medications/doses.
We are in a pretty similar spot. I'm 31 and on 10mg of HCTZ. I run in that 140/90 range.
"Family history" is definitely a factor, but I get annoyed when...
It's a strange predicament we have these days isn't it? We can't think of anything we need or want. :D
I sent my wife a link to the EE quilt sale and the specs I'd like. Then I always just have a list of misc. stuff that I keep on my Amazon wish list. I think random things on my list this year...
There will always (hesitate to use that word) be a need for brick and mortar. The only thing faster than next day shipping is right-now pick up. Essentials, home staples, boutique type stores that find a niche, there will always be those. I remember when shopping at a local farmer's market was...
Since I always buy during sales, with Rokslide or other coupon codes, buy from places with free shipping, etc. I'm kind of bummed to see this, but from a business model perspective, I get it.
As for liking to try on in store, about a year ago I estimated how much time and gas money I spent...
