WTS 7mm Rem Mag Ammo - Some Vintage Boxes

I bought this ammo at an estate sale in 2020 during the pandemic. I have 7 full boxes of 7mm Rem Mag ammo. The Federal soft point hi-shok appear to be vintage boxes. I shot through one box of the Federal stuff last year, it worked great and my Savage 110 loved it. I have: 3 brand new boxes of...

Convince me Crispi makes a top quality boot ...

I'm hunting 3rd season in Colorado and we have days where it's -15 below before sunrise. The Crispi Guide 200g have been good to me. I had some Danner's before and learned my lesson, they were awful. The guide GTX fits me perfectly, but that isn't the case for everyone. I'd try a few different...

    UFC 288

It’s definitely still bare knuckle.. their knuckles are still exposed. They’re not allowed to have any gauze or tape within 1 inch of their knuckles. The tape is to prevent them from breaking hands or wrists.

    UFC 288

I watched the event last weekend, Perry is for sure annoying but no denying he's tough. There were some great fights on that card too.

    6.5 PRC or 7 PRC?

I'm trying to decide on what to buy for my next backcountry hunting rifle. For context, I'm currently shooting a 30 year old Savage 110 7MM Rem Mag. I love it, but it's time for an upgrade. We hunt later rifle season in CO, primarily elk and mule deer, but I always pick up a bear tag just in...

    ELD-X & ELD-M

Resurrecting this thread as I'm thinking about a 6.5 PRC. I just watched some ballistics gel videos where both the 143 ELD-X, and 147 ELD-M's fragmented pretty significantly. Anyone have issues with these bullets within 3-400 yards? Most of my elk/deer hunting is within 400.

Seekins Element 6.5 PRC or 7 PRC??

Sweet! Let us know how the 6.5 shoots. I've considering these 2 options as well. A little concerned about ammo availability for the 7 PRC, so I'm leaning towards 6.5 right now. Also trying to decide if I want to build one or just buy once cry once with the Element.

Does the 6.5 PRC have enough ass?

I am by no means an expert here (FNG as well 😅) but I have been hunting elk for the last 7 years. Someone in our camp has killed an elk every year in the last 7 years, sometimes multiple. I think only one of them was over 500, I believe it was ~563. Both of my CO mule deer in the last 2 years...

    Build or buy?

I’m thinking about building a 6.5 PRC for my all purpose hunting rifle here in CO. Right now I’m leaning towards the MDT HNT26 chassis and a proof barrel. I’ve also considered buying a tikka roughtech and eventually swapping the barrel with something like a proof. Considered 7 PRC but I’m...

    7 PRC help

I'd have to disagree here. My 7mm rem mag has been amazing. Plenty of power, shoots flat, but I understand the appeal of a 300 especially PRC. but I think for OP's use case the 7 PRC would be totally fine for elk. I'm actually in a similar boat, my only concern is finding ammo for the 7 PRC...

    FNG from Colorado

Hey all, came across Rokslide as I was searching and comparing optics and hunting rifles. Lots of great info on this platform. Been hunting 20+ years, and always excited to learn more about all things outdoors. Stoked to be here.
