Don't kid yourself believing that if you spend $25-$35k on a guided moose hunt in the Yukon, the NWT or anywhere else that your success is guaranteed. It isn't.
Going off of memory the new model has a larger ocular lens, a wider field of view (the main selling point) and seems "easier" on the eye with less fatigue at high magnification. I also remember the prominar lenses, at least flourite added into the eyepiece lenses with the new TE-11Z model...
I don't know about changes to the lens coatings but I have used both and would stongly recommend the newew 25-60 wide angle TE-11z over the older 20-60x TE-9. It is a shame they didn't use this newer eyepiece on the smaller 55mm spotter.
Looks like you have plenty of responses already but I will give my two cents having owned and used most of the premium spotters including those you have mentioned. To my eye the 88 kowa is optically the best of any 80-mm class spotter. The optical advantage may be somewhat small but it was the...
I had what I can only assume to be defective Yukon and Chugach raingear. Left me saturated while still hunting after a few hours in light rain despite following their care instructions to the "T." Kuiu customer service first tried to tell me I must have been sweating underneath my raingear...
I used the Zeiss 10x42 victory rf the last two years and traded to the Swaro 10x42 EL Range TA this year. Optically, both are very good but I prefer the swaro. The biggest reason is the much better edge to edge clarity with the swaro, particularly noticable when glassing from a tripod. The...
From my experience the answer is mixed. Some outfitters give every hunter an equal opportunity regardless of money, status, clout, repeat bookings, etc. There are, without question, many outfitters who do prioritize clients they see as high value. I was once told by a NWT outfitter (without...
You are entitled to a refund if your transporter cannot fly you out. It isn't your fault if Arctic Air is a one plane operation and they booked too many clients that created a log jam when the weather turned bad. Don't let them tell you that you must rely on your travel insurance. That is their...
Selling my pair of Zeiss 10x42 Victory RF rangefinding binos. Glass and function are perfect. Body is a 9.8/10. I am the original owner and I purchased these directly from Zeiss in August of 2020. These are the latest bluetooth model that calculates distance from 11-2500 yards, angle, air...
What is the primary species you are after? Sheep, ibex or a combo? I have hunted that country three times for both species and have been through the good and the bad outfitters. I currently work with an outfitter in Kyrgyzstan who I feel offers the best hunt in the country. Success rates have...

I don't think it is a matter of being told what to do. I think most people want to educate/inform themselves thourgh studies, reports and research so they can make their own informed choice. This is true for any topic or subject.
Don't forget that the majority of international outfitters who were all affected by Covid and border closures are rolling their clients to future years without a penalty or fee increase. This puts operations like Shockey's in the minority.
