Get one with a camera if you can. The pics aren't great quality but saving a waypoint by snapping a photo is super quick, and you then have a visual of what was at that waypoint. Amazon has the gpsmap 62sc for $285.
Lots of folks will suggest the Hamskea Versarest because its a solid rest in every aspect. If your budget allows its unlikely you would be disappointed with it.
Now on my HeliM I use the QAD ultrarest and I am very happy with it.
