I have used the dried beef found in the tuna/spam section of the grocery store. Just dice it up and throw it in. Since it's not completely dry it barely uses any water when rehydrating. I just added a few extra ounces of h2o. Pretty tasty meal for sure.
If you are just starting with predator hunting I wouldn't focus on saving pelts yet. Shoot the most accurate load you have for now. Coyotes are smart and quick to adapt so your first few season may not be that successful. Just get out there, learn your land, the coyotes that live there, have fun...
I was 260 a few months ago so I'm familiar with your situation. The problem I have with my gut is if I try to put the belt at the same location as my pants then the pack belt is too low to get good steady support. I have found that my K pack works great if I run the belt over my naval rather...
Mmcan looks good bud. If your goal is to tighten it up more just keep sending them downrange and it will happen. One thing I will add is to have a FIRST SHOT GOAL as well. When you are hunting that is the most important if not the only shot you get, make that one count.
The rainbow is a 1 man shelter, if you like that shelter style and want a little room go with the double rainbow. I'd say the DR is a 1+ shelter, that will work fine if your taking the pooch and few extra pieces of gear to keep inside.
We have been dealing with that pain in Calhan Colorado for the last week. Today we said goodbye to a high school freshman that was close friends with my daughter. Prayers for Eddie, his family, and friends as well as those close to Kimiko. :(
^^^^^^^ Same as mt100gr. A few years ago I bought a DXT and my shooting really went to the crapper. I've never been a really, really good shot but I do OK. With this new bow it was clear something was wrong. I moved my target into the garage(about 5 yd distance) and started drawing with eyes...
A full on fatbike will be great for winter riding but tough the rest of the year. You need to decide when the bike will be used most and buy a bike that will be more useful during that time. On dry trail, gravel, pavement the fatbikes have lots of rolling resistance which requires more energy to...
A good bow with a cheap rest and sight will shoot better and be more enjoyable to shoot than a cheap bow with top end components. I say spend your money on a good bow and build from there. Lots of folks in forums like this have components laying around they might send as a pay it forward type deal.
