Thats a good question. I'm hearing there can be issues if you don't have a new regulator put in. I couldn't pin down a good answer so just stuck with regular Lead Acid
After looking at several places and either not having the right post configuration in and/or only having very expensive batteries, i ended up just going to Batteries and Bulbs . Was somewhat interested in the AGM but a little leery of what is required to change it over.
Cow call for sure. Then i dont worry as much about being quiet . Bulls may occasionally bugle that late but you will not get an elk to respond to a bugle. Theoretically possible but ain't happening in the real world . You will just get people
From what i'm seeing/reading , i'm somewhat inclined to go to a Walmart or O Reilly's, It's likely the same manufacturer and is easily returned since they have locations all over. Unless one steps into the higher end of battery, they are all the same manufacturer so quality is about the same.
I am looking at buying a new battery for my 2004 Tundra. Obviously i want something with good Cold Cranking amps and a decent warranty. . Anything I should look for? Avoid? Current battery is still working but goes dead pretty quickly if you leave the lights on for a bit.. I dont want to...
depends on the rain. Its really hard to stay in the tent during hunting season but if its a Torrential downpour... you might as well. IF its just a little water, go hunting. A lot of cool opportunities occur when you are in the woods. Elk are still there.
Off. For multiple reasons. IF we are lucky enough to get a truck to it, leave it on until back at camp on the meat pole. But if you are quartering and packing, off immediately. The hide holds in a lot of heat. If you want tasty wildy game, start it cooling down ASAP. Also, leaving the hide...
1. The most dangerous thing in the woods, is a wet stick on a steep hillside
2. The scariest animal in the woods, is the grouse that goes off under your feet when its just getting light out. Sounds like a helicopter taking off.
3. Yes, you should throw in more toilet paper.
4. When in the...
I have trouble with my Tight Spot interfering with the Fall away arrow rest if I dont off set it a bit. I had cut a piece of kyvex but i like that idea better(and the kyvex isnt thick enough )
Good points mentioned above, if you want to use a rifle with a larger scope, you may need to provide your own scabbard. Part of it would depend on how you will be hunting. If its just a mater of packing it into a base camp, your regular rifle case may work but would not be practical if you...
I have a theory that with the thick heavy jungle of the coast range, sound often doesnt travel as far. So you may bugle and not hear their answer. The other thing i think happens is because it is thick and hard to get off the road, 90% of the hunters are bugling from a logging road. Walk in...
A lot of good info here... I also need a generator to run my pump when the power goes out. I currently have a briggs and stratton (3500 or 4000 maybe?) but you definitely do not want to load it in the truck to go camping. And it is very loud. Messing with it over the summer is what...
Seems like everyone agrees that Honda is the absolute best way to go with generators... so i think im going to bite the bullet. I have a chance to pick up a couple of used Honda EU 2000i with the companion cord. I know they have now come out with the 2200I but believe the 2000i is probably...
Sounds like a good idea depending on the instructor and where its at. Hunting a private ranch or established tree stands could be completely different than a public land, lots of pressure, learning experience.
PS Camped above Timberline in a tent could be a different story and you need to get lower and not be the lone object to attract the lightning. That's why i mentioned heavy timber down below the ridgeline. I feel pretty safe in heavy timber as long as im not right next to the tallest tree out...
