I would love to find a Browning BLR one day but not opposed to getting another barrel for my Tikka and getting vise and wrench to swap out the barrels.
Corlanes has done a lot of work for me over the years and I like them too. Latest was an 8 twist KS Arms barrel for my 6.8 Western build. The...
Interesting hadn't heard of them before thanks.
Have dealt with Corlanes many times up here, great people to work with. My last project with them they put on a 6.8 Western barrel onto my Tikka .
Who did your importing for you? I'm sure you'll love that gun. A few of us did it in reverse back when the LH 375 Ruger guns came out. Prophet River in Lloydminster AB took care of everything going from the US to Canada.
I hear you, I was going to get a Tikka 270 WSM when the 6.8 Western was announced and went with that instead. You could just get a faster twist barrel and go with that. You probably will get a bit more speed than the 6.8 Western.

I thought this was a 6.8...
Just did a big move so won't get to it for at least a month with unpacking and renos. I'll definitely update this when I do. Really looking forward to trying it out.
Yes the Alliant powders are impossible to find here these days. I ordered my N 565 from Nechako outdoors when they had a free shipping sale. Comes in 1 kg cans.
That's exactly how I ended up with my 260 Rem, lefty 243 and had the factory 260 barrel put on. With our 3 Tikkas we have in the house I need to get the vise and wrench to do barrel swapping.
Assuming you're a BC resident you might want to apply for one of the LEH areas. There is some really good info online that goes into all the different herds and their approximate populations. That will help you a lot to find out where you should look.
I wonder if there was a problem with an individual lot or maybe a design flaw in that particular bullet? I haven't used Hammer's but they have a good reputation. The Accubonds will work awesome though .
