Never mind 5 yards, go to 40 and see what happens. If they all hit in the same spot I wouldn't worry about the angle they stick in the target, too many variables to affect that. You could have hit a hole from a previous shot or a softer spot on the target.
You guys are correct. Maybe it was a result of my first bow being so difficult to tune but I did the bare shafts first which took forever, and then the broad heads which also took forever. Once I upgraded my bow I just went straight to broad heads and it was much faster, probably had something...
I’ve found I skip a lot of work if I get a decent hole in paper with a bare shaft I just go straight to broad head tuning. If you bareshaft tune you have to go through the whole process and then usually have to make some more changes when you go to broad heads.
Why not just go through the...
I’ll admit I don’t know if the rules for bringing ammo out of the USA are only for non-Americans. My post was just to point out to check your own country’s laws as well.
If it’s illegal for you to do it, you will get busted when you cross back into Alaska and declare it.
Yes you normally won’t be searched leaving the USA by American border guards but they do walk the line up to get into Canada from time to time when it’s long and stretches into the USA. It would be wise to know the rules beforehand to avoid any issues. A lot of hunters give away their passion...
Check your country’s laws about taking ammo out as well. Coming into Canada I can bring home any amount of ammo under 5000 rounds but I could be arrested if caught in the USA trying to take any ammo out of the country.
Took a couple pics last night in the heat. First target is near the end of the course but just over 70 yards on a smaller target.
Second target is a little over 60. I don’t think these are the hardest shots on the course though. My phone makes it look much brighter than it actually is.
Maybe I’ll put a specialty archery 3/16 peep in and play around with apertures for it. I shoot a lot of 3D late in the evening so I should get a good idea of how it works in low light.
I need a smaller peep. Currently have a 3/16 but even when I run the dovetail as short as possible I still see a gap around my sight housing ring. What size would you guys recommend for a hunting and target bow?
Here’s the bow specs and a pic of where I’ve normally got my dovetail set;

Does your D loop match your peep? You should shoot it a bunch until you are sure the peep has settled and then rotate the string so your peep is straight. D loop should match.
Well if you are ever out in my neck of the woods, I'd be happy to take you out. That goes for anyone else on Rokslide as well. I've been fortunate enough to meet up with some other fellow Roksliders in my travels so if I can repay the favour I'd be thrilled.
