    Engineering Position - Interior Alaska

    I read through the ad and the salary range started in the 80s to a max of 151k. With all the things being asked/required, the bottom end of the range should be starting much higher. That salary range is ridiculous. You’re not going to get high quality applicants.

    How do you pay for your gear?

    Mine is a goalie. We get a discount on team fees but it doesn’t help much. At 8 years old I added up his gear, a new helmet and the rest was used, it was still $1k in gear hahaha. Now he’s getting into some senior sized stuff and the price is much higher. Oh well, He’s having fun.

    Gun for Elk Hunting in Thick Timber

    I was building an AR10 in .308 before the turd banned them in Canada. I figured it would be my best bet hunting in grizzly country and it not being legal to carry a pistol. Please build one for me ;)

    I don’t know about anyone else but I used to interpret things like this as “make sure you check on your kids for depression” etc. Now that my kids are growing, I’ve realized that’s only 50% of it. Make sure your kids aren’t bullies either.

    It’s a mental game. Don’t leave early just because you’re having a tough time. Some advice earlier in the thread said to take a break if you want to leave. There’s nothing wrong with taking a morning or afternoon off to recharge if it means you will stay the rest of the trip instead of bailing...
