That’s interesting. I was in Co this year. 3 of us had Zoleo. I had Zoleo and Apple. Apple was consistently faster.
Examples. At one point I shot a buck, text my buddy(Zoleo) to come meet me. He by dumb luck walked up on me. We had my deer processed and in our packs before he got my message...
We kinda eloped. Think 10 people counting the photographer on my farm during Covid. Wouldn’t change a thing. Only thing I missed out on was all the free crap from people. We planned to throw a home warming to cash in on that but covid never ended and we never got around to it.

I’m blessed to live on the farm my family owns. Close to 200 acres of field and woods in the east. However, I’d say I’m in the great minority in my area. Most of my buddies drive at least an hour to get to even “ok” hunting land whether it be overpopulated state land or overpriced leases...
I’ll watch it for sure. At least the first one. I’m not afraid to admit I’m quite the fan of Meateater. Learned a lot from them over the years. Cool to see him head a new direction

This thread hurts me as a guy from the east. Lot of these sure look like 8 pointers to me lol lots of brow tines y’all don’t count. Until you score it. Then you measure of course lol

This is like saying if you wound one and someone smacks it with a car 3 days later it’s your deer. Maybe in Europe where you own the animal. But that ship sailed when the tea sunk [emoji631]🫡

Yeah for sure. Lots of factors go into that speed. And the bow companies know how to show you the ideal number you’ll never actually get.
My biggest factor right now though is what I’m losing at 60lb instead of 70. I was in my teens when I got my bow so it was fine then but I’m ready for a...
It’s a balance for me. I love the taste of mule deer so I want to fill the tag. Not sure I could shoot a dinker 2x2 though just to do so. So far I’ve been fortunate enough to find decent deer.

I think that’s the next big thing. Speed and weight are maxed out. Time to make them friendly to being worked on in the back country.

I got to try one out this year in Colorado. I’m a believer. We all charged all our devices on it for a week with temps in the teens and it was still at 77% 8 days later. Phones. Smart watches. Headlamps. Zoleos and a few other random things. Really impressive.

I am going 60 to 70, so yeah that’ll be my biggest upgrade. I also plan to go from my “entry” level Hoyt to likely a flagship model. So higher in components and such. I’m not sure where price and practicality balance. I know I’m not going to spend $2100 on a rx9 when a rx3 can be picked up at...
I mean Hoyt themselves would contradict that. A RX-3 from 2019 is shooting the exact same FPS and comes in 0.1lb lighter than a RX-9. From their own stats. It might be a bit smoother or different break over point, but that’s 90% preference of the shooter anyway.

I’ll also add I do like good gear. And I like new gear. No dig on you for upgrading regularly. Just my philosophy is a bit different. I’m not trying to skimp. But I know I’ll keep it awhile, and I don’t see the bump 2025s gets you over 2024 or even 2022 for that matter. I like to keep my bow...
I mean it’s not a smart financial decision even if you can afford it. The bow tech has hit a ceiling. Each year offers maybe a fps or two, a new camo, and a cool name lately. If you want to buy a new bow every year, go for it. That gives me good deals on used ones. But if you understand...
