I really like my Leupold Yosemite 6x30; predominantly eastern woods, occasionally used for field edges. Never feel "underpowered" with them and I really like their compactness/portability.
Primary reason is wife and I were born and raised in the area, most of both of our families are here. Other things that keep us here are:
Low cost of living
Conservative politics, incl. firearms freedom
Excellent hunting and fishing as well as other outdoors activities

Not to be morbid or anything but in the event of a serious heart event out in the boonies, what are doctor's instructions regarding the aspirin? Do you put it under your tongue until it dissolves, or chew it, or?
I have the latest version of the Meoptas and they are very nice but not as bright as I need in low light conditions. I'm looking for a good used pair of EL 12x50s and once I find them, my Meoptas and my SLC 10x42 will likely be on the selling block.
Not in my experience; I've use HRB for years and it always seems to be cheaper than Turbotax. I got the Deluxe + State (with 5 free fed efiles) version of HRB a couple months ago for $22.50 (download version) from Office Max. Most years can get it for around $30 from one of the vendors...
