read this whole thing and it has opened a whole new can of worms on my reloading bench. Just built a 10.5in SBR for fun. However, I couldn’t help but notice how easy it is to pack around. Now I have a bullet shopping list and wait for November to give it a shot hunting.
So I have a pistol barrel with threads that stick out more than I can for. I am toying with the idea of just cutting the threads off, but I don’t understand how much/if there will be an effect from a lack of barrel crown (or other things you might know that I don’t).

First post… but all of the other critters come behind waterfowl for me. Ducks, dogs, decoys, boats, the whole nine yards. Usually hunt my private spot, but nothing compares to hunting the MS river on public land when the whole thing comes together
