Looking for someone who would be interested in trading their small primer for my large primer 45 ACP brass. Would like to trade piece for piece.
The brass I have is 1X fired mixed head stamp, but I could sort out decent sized (3-500ish) sized lots of Winchester or PMC brass if that would help…
Does someone have a simple recipe for this?
Got a good deal on some 1X brass that had been “cleaned”. I would consider myself in the wet tumbling camp, so when I picked up the top handful-ish cases and saw primer pockets with room for improvement, I put them in the wet tumbler. At removal time...
Again, don’t have a chrono, but for the couple calibers that I have used them both, they seem to be very similar. They do seem to randomly trade places on which one is more accurate, so I definitely keep both around
Just did this. Landed on 25.2 with 77smks @ 2.26. That was the highest I could go without consistently raising burs from the ejector in an AR. No chrono, so can’t tell you the velocity
Don’t know what his is, but if hiking is not a factor. You can build an ar to a very similar accuracy standard for the same amount of money (usually less) as a Tikka. Also, parts are cheaper and easier to find
So ~1220 is the fastest published I’ve seen. Don’t go higher than that?
Added: the 223 thread is what has me questioning around this. For a lot of other bullet types I can find published max and min velocities for expansion. I can’t seem to find that for this particular bullet.
So like the title says. I’m looking to information on what the effective velocity range of a 124gr, 9mm bullet. I have a small pile of them and I am looking to make a +p hand load.I really want to know what the top speed should be without loosing its effectiveness.
I guess my immediate follow...
Thank you for sharing that. I have seen that, and some other book loads, I was really hoping to hear some real world experiences with this cal/bullet weight? Would be open to even hearing from similar calibers like 6 Grendel, 6x45, 6PPC, etc…
Just like the title says. Does anybody have successful loads or starting points for loads with this weight bullets in 6ARC?
I bought a variety pack of bullets for feeling out what my barrel would like, but outside of Los manuals I haven’t seen a lot of talk about this weight bullet in this...
I like these little storage bins from harbor freight. Use painters tape and sharpie for labels. Cheap + they stack and can be pulled out 1 at a time. This bench is beside the loading bench, so I try and only keep 1 bullet at a time on the actual loading bench
