I have 2 pairs here. The smaller pair is slightly tight volume wise in the toebox, width is good. Heel is good.
Larger size feels larger than a 1/2 size. Feels like more volume everywhere and slight heel slip on right foot.
I like the boot, I think it'll work after break in... but which pair...
Antelope shot at 400 and change with a 162 ELDmurder. Heart shot. Ran like hell.
Deer shots at 150-250 with 140ELDmurder. Heart/lungs. Ran like hell.
No suppressor.
Once I build trust in something I don't part with it. It took several years of flipping stuff to get to that point, but I don't even look at new gear now. The only time I buy new stuff is when someone on here posts deals that I can't turn down.
Scarpa Triolet in 10
Mammut Kento Pro 9.5
Both of these are practically new but they don't fit me well. Trade for something lighter or make an offer as they're just taking up space.
I have one of the Kalinco 10x10s, Mine came with a couple dime size holes in, but not really a big deal for the price. I just put T-Tape over them. It's a bit bulky as mentioned but has held up well to the elements and to lay meat and gear on while field dressing.
The cheap tarps are great for...
I had a Big Agnes Bounday Deluxe, Exped Megamat 10, and Thermarest Mondoking all on my living room floor before this season started. (Along with a pile of others I already had)
I kept the Thermarest. You'd be nitpicking between the Exped and Thermarest and everything else feels like an air...
That Holiday harness looks slick. Similar to the Black Diamond I've been using but looks like it has lineman loops and a dedicated belay loop which are the only things the BD I have lacks.
I picked up one of the 8mm predator tethers from XOP this season and have been very happy with that as well.
This year we cut up some down and dead wood - all that was left close by to have a fire at night. We had one pile of wood that would turn the campfire into chaos. Absolute non stop popping and blowing embers 10-15 ft out of the ring. I've never seen such a thing. (It had just rained or we would...
Move really slow and get really fast with that gun. Sometimes they'll flush and you won't see a thing. Other times they'll be perched on a down logged and you can ground swat them. They're a blast to hunt regardless of your experience level.
This will likely be popular since Kuiu is such a well known name and they beat the other big names by 50-100 bucks.
In the video "there wasn't a lot of innovation going on" makes me cringe a bit as their vest looks basically like every other vest that's come out in the last couple years...
If you left the old wise one in the group, she'll absolutely avoid that area. (especially since you chased them off and she knows what caused the chaos).
If you had shot the old one, the young dumb ones would likely keep using that trail. They are creatures of habit until you educate them.
These are the threads that make me like this community so much. I posted years ago after having our daughter when I was struggling as a new father and got lots of solid advice.
One of the most important things I was once told and really stuck...."It may not mean anything to you, but it means...
Not sure if this was already posted or not, but it's been on the news here as he's originally from this area. Doesn't sound good that they were able to find his camp and belongings on the first day of the search but have found not found him. I've hunted somewhat close to the area in the past...
