Sorry for the late response. It looks like you got your answer but I don’t remember who I talked too. My frame stopped squeaking on its own for a while but this past weekend it started to squeak again and worse than it was. Going to have to send it in after the seasons over. I am really liking...
I have had this setup for around 2 years and spent around 15 nights in it, 4 of those were with a stove. Shelter has been great but just not for me. I have the base, vestibule with stove jack, tarp, 2 adjustable Ruta locura carbon poles, and a MLD nest that was custom built with zipper entry on...
I have a triad and the Bradley. I prefer the triad since it is easier to get on and off, it feels nicer on my face especially when cold, and there are no screws to come loose and the triad has some squish so if your at an odd angle or shooting position you can can still get a good sight picture.
I checked out a hubba hubba and fit good in it. I ran across a nest for my LBO in the classifieds here and found out that the nest only takes up half the tent so if the wife and I don’t end up fitting in the nest I can always sleep in the other half and the wife can sleep in the nest. For the...
I considered to LBo nest but adds significant weight and doesn’t appear to be big enough. Seek outside says up to 6’ person.
definately want lighter weight vs super bomb proof. If the weather is looking foul we have a canvas base tent we could operate out of.
Great suggestions so far. I didn’t mention it I guess but light weight is a concern. The hilebergs look nice but seem significantly heavier than other options. And to clarify we are planning on the dog sleeping in the vestibule area
I need a 2 person tent with a floor that will fit me at 6’5” and my wife. We both use long wide sleeping pads. Tent will be used for Colorado 3 season backpacking. We used a seekoutside LBO last 2 years but she said she has had enough of the floorless and doesn’t like sleeping in a bug bivy...
I heard back from mystery ranch this morning and the lady told me it was a pretty common issue and they are working on an updated frame for next year. She said the issue is some frames are sewn too tight causing the stays to rub against each other.
She offered to send me a return shipping label...
What are the improvements of the kifaru over your mystery ranch? I live within driving distance of kifaru so might be worth the drive but would like to hear what you found
