I picked up a Tikka 243 with the 1-8 twist last year. It took awhile to find a load that would shoot with the heavier bullets. It shoots just under 1 MOA.
Even if Tikka comes out with 6 Creeds at SHOT it might be a year before we see them.
For the doubters, you are leaving hundreds if not thousands of free money on the table every year. The wife and I just churned a couple cards and got $1500 back in signup bonuses. Just to buy normal stuff we buy anyway.
Today I was told about a cash back card that does 3% on every day...
The local store here has sales plus gives $10 gift cards for every $50 spent. So I’m buying a years supply of dog food, another ice fishing sled for coyotes, and probably a Dewalt tool or two.
Going to grab a few more metal mags, maybe another XLR Element, and not sure what else online.
I wouldn’t waste time scouting the year before unless it’s an early season hunt.
I have spent time in a unit during 3rd season a fair amount along with family. It has been great, horrible, so so, decent, great, so so, and decent.
If I scouted it on a great year I could still have a horrible...
Someone decided they want to hunt the unit they want to every year and have a shot at the hybrid draw. It’s that simple.
So they are using the word “fair” to justify greed.
I wonder if there is a breakdown on where CRWM got donations from? Residents (not just Colorado residents) have short...
This is an interesting take.
At the end of the day the best way to maximize kills per minute spent hunting in the daylight is calling if not using dogs, snares, traps, poison, etc.
I would apply in eastern Montana. Then I would also find a unit in Wyoming that you might be able to squeak into if applying in the special draw. And if you can’t draw with zero points you still have a chance in the random.
You can also try to find ranches that you can pay a trespass fee...
Interesting about the sounds. Since 70% of coyotes in the fall are new coyotes and have never heard lightning jack, pup 3, etc you would think they would still work.
I do know I had a custom sound and I killed 80%+ of my coyotes over it one year. The next year I “upgraded” calls and that sound...
Yea I dial if I can. On stand I’m usually dialed up 0.4-0.6 mil depending on the rifle. Then if one hangs up or stops on the way out I dial if it’s beyond 350ish.
I have a couple Trijicon 3-18 Tenmile’s, a couple 4-32 NX8’s, and a 4-16 Atacr. I have barely used the Atacr but it’s the best of the 3 to me. Next is the NX8. I’ll be getting rid of the Trij’s.
The X24 is pretty solid. Never used or looked at the features on the hellcat so no comment there.
For coyotes female sore howls, pup 3, bay bee cottontail, snowshoe hair, lucky bird. Raccoon fight. Hard to remember what’s standard and what’s custom without the remote in hand.
For lions I...
