Contractor bags work great! I would however highly incourage you guys NOT to mess with salt. It's not bad info but hear me out....the reasons that advice is being asked in this thread is because a couple guys are new to backcountry bear hunting. Odds are most haven't fleshed, removed...

    Bibs kryptek or sitka?

I think the aegis set is the best cold weather clothing available. It shines anytime your exposed the extreme cold for long durations whether dry or wet. Love it.

I will send you guys a couple, I'll admit that I'm a procrastinator about things that remind me of homework, but I need to contribute.

Weight of boned out black bear

An average to large bear is a two trip ordeal with gear. Obviously a slug can take three and a dink can be done in one, but it's almost always two trips. If you do shoot a bear, I'd suggest braking it down quickly (take his coat off and bone it out) and draping the hide in shade to cool for a...

    25-06 Bullet

110 accubond, I have a buddy that only hunts with a .257 weatherby and he's killed several elk from 80-400 yards with no prob. I wouldn't concern myself with ultra high BC on a gun like that.....a combo of good weigh retention and wound channel will do great at appropriate distances.

    Best tripod for the money?

I'm not sure if I've used it below those temps for any extended times (certainly for 10-15 min glassine outside my truck in winter), but I've been real close to those temps on late season trips without issue.

Effects of Canting Your Rifle- 1000 yard Demo

This seems a bit more like a personal attack than a helpfull post. Maybe if your long range shooting is Nebraska or Kansas (super flat) I could agree with you. In real world shooting senerios it's best to minimize error. Most would be surprised how much you accidentally cant in super steep...

    Streamlining Water System

I've been drinking water like Justin in the pic since I was 10 years old in the high country of Wa. No troubles yet.......I do usually take something with (like a sawyer or steripen) if I'm learning new country, but 95% of Wa high country is good to go.

    Wa draw results out online

It won't be much of a hunt (my wife made me promise to kill an elk for the freezer).......something I can take care of in a day within 20 minutes of my house. That being said, if it doesn't go as expected (like I actually have to hike from the truck), I sure as he'll want to convince some other...

    Knight's Ultra-Light Muzzleloader

Robby, I think the more you use this muzzleloader the more you'll love it. In my limited time with it I've been quite pleased.......my first outing to the range produced a 2" 4 shot group at 100 (with its factory sights). I haven't spent enough time at extended range or with alternative sights...

Options for best 1x muzzy scope?

I've been on the horn with sabotloader many times in the last year picking his brain (I'll bet I've asked that poor man more questions than I've asked all other roksliders combined). He is a wealth of knowledge and a very important contributor to this forum IMO. He's agreed to let me do some...
