Typically I find that the longer the stabilizer the less weight needed for the same effect. So if you had a 10" with 2 oz and went to a 6" with 4 oz then this would be exactly what I have experienced and what I would expect to see.
I also found that by using an offset bracket I don't need to...
Kudos to Ryan, Robbie and Aron.
I'm sure they will have a problem with the statements made, but I feel it is the right decision to disclose the reason for parting ways.
It's your website, run it like you want to!
I grew up hunting eagle meadows, clark's fork, and dodge ridge/trout creek area. Hunted up around Bell mountain some, and there's some areas where bucks never see a human back in there.
for a balanced bow it should fall forward after the shot, since the bow hand is relaxed as the shot is released the bow will surge forward slightly. At that point the pivot point has changed and the bow should slowly fall forward if balanced correctly.
Add to this that if you shoot with a wrist...
not much needed for ankle support, but protection from cactus is needed in some area, and snake boots will make the hunt more enjoyable but not necessary.
They can usually life flight you and end up saving your life once you get bit....
I still don't understand how some people hunt with a target rig.....using a side stabilizer and all, even a hinge release???
What's this world coming to?
Now that you have it dialed in.....next time I have my hands on your bow I'll have to make "adjustments", just so you have something to fix!
bbrown, yeah they screwed up a lot with those list A cow tags.
I think all cow tags should be list B.
2012 I was in an area with a lot of elk, but being a pack in hunt the horse rental was $350 plus horse feed and food. A little over $500 seems a bit much for a cow elk for me, also have trouble...
Been looking at options for a rifle cow hunt during third season and part of me just wants to say the heck with it and go for the extra elk tag during archery season, the other part of me says the third season cow tag gives me something to look forward to after archery season......
anybody else...
Looks good.
Had a friend convince me to change to 100 grain heads last year and I'm not sure I like it.
Will probably switch back to 125 grain heads this year or next. That will put me in the 449-450 gr range.
I tend to miss some of these posts so let me know if you guys decide a date and time.
There is the 3d shoot this saturday at the air force academy that I'm going to try to do, and Sunday mornings are out for me, other than that I'm pretty open.
During the week Tuesday nights are out until the...
I'm not trophy hunting and not counting inches, so the 50mm works for me. If the difference between 10" on a buck or 20" on a bull made a difference to me then I would like having a bigger scope.
In the years I went up to Colorado to hunt before I moved up here, I only had altitude issues when over 11,000 feet elevation.
If less than 10k I wouldn't worry about it, if hunting over 10k I would just slow down and be fine, only had problems when lacking oxygen during hard climbs and then...
