I'm curious about these too. They appear to be roomy and are very lightweight (9.5 oz for the Down Timber). Wonder how they do with a little wind. Seems like the Down Timber would be worth a try for the price.
Hey just noticed the hanging organizational accessory pockets on the website. May try those for running the pack without a talon. Nice to have options.
I just put my tripod and spotter in the water bottle pockets and strap them in. Don't really see the need for pockets. I have a neoprene cover for my spotter. That said it would be kinda handy to have a couple internal pockets in the pack bag imo.
