    2025 Draw Anticipation

Hoping to draw a couple LE elk tags in the next 2 years, may have to pony up for the special draw in WY to get it done. After that, I'm out of the elk business, getting too old to be packing an elk out solo. In the mean time, will be sitting in a tree looking for the right buck here in MO and...

    Will Vehicle Prices Ever Decrease?

There are "deals" to be had if you are willing to look for them. Dealer was 2 hours away. I recently traded a '21 F150 with 79K miles for a new '24 F150. Didn't need it, but wanted it. Really wanted to get a Chevy with the 3.0, but they wouldn't deal, so stuck with the 5.0 as I have had very...

    Good work gloves???

I really like deerskin work gloves but the ones I can find now don’t last very long on the farm. Used to get a season out of a pair of Wells Lamont’s but now everything seems to be a lot thinner and more expensive.

How should I hunt this Deer? - NEED OPINIONS

I have had this happen multiple times with mature bucks, summer one place and once they shed velvet move to their "core" area and spend the rest of the fall/winter there. That area can be very small and they will not leave it, they breed their 3-4 does and are happy and safe. Hunt the edges and...

Average cost of a Moose hunt

A friend of mine went to the Yukon a couple years ago, the hunt itself was $26,000 plus airfare to Whitehorse and float plane from there. They donated the meat to locals and it cost him $1800 to get the cape and head back to the states.

    "Scout" Services

I would assume that any outfitters that sell "scouting packages" are not going to give out their preferred spots to someone that hasn't booked a fully guided hunt with them. Kind of like a drop camp, won't be in the best spots.

Trophy Elk: What's it to YOU

350”+ is where I’m at. Have hunted a bunch of premium units and ate tags, never gave it a second thought since I set my standards at 350+. I raise cattle so I’m not going to go hungry.

    Ground blinds

Had a Primos Surroundview 270 and sold it. Material is very shiny and you get highlighted with 3 sides see thru. Had to buy a blackout curtain for 1 side. Also, the wind goes right through them, very cold sitting inside if it’s cold out.
