Pro tip, when you need to rewax your gear, put it in the dryer and check it every couple minutes. The wax will suck into the cloth instead of just seal the top of the fabric.
Don't over cook it or your wife (or husband if you're a recent filson fan (no judgment)) will will kill you.
I have 3 300wsm rifles. They wear: swfa 3-9hd, nx8 and a meopta/conquest
I'd never run a vx series scope on any rifle that has more recoil than a 22lr or is going to ride on a atv. They just don't have a good history....and a 300wsm can bark pretty hard.
I'm actively searching for a roklock myself. I typically hunt with trad archery gear....but I took a dive into muzzleloaders and started with inlines and moved to percussion sidelocks....I have figured out the sidelock to an unfair advantage, so the rocks are my next play.
I wish they were not...
Every outdoor forum has someone who knows someone. The industry is pretty tight knit. There was never anything productive that was going to come of the information. Snyder is one of those guys whos a friend, enemy, idol and fool....depending on your perspective which ironically is how we all are...
Not a hoodless version but...I have 2 jetstreams and after buying a bora, I forgot the jetstream jackets even exist in my closet. If you find a shoeller fabric jacket....it will be better in every way.
I have a 93' honda fourtrax 300 4x4 and a polaris sportsman 700 that replaced a yamaha grizzly 600. I've owned a mule also.
The honda gets ridden the most but isn't ideal for 2 due to it's size, power will do it....but it's cramped for 2.
The mule was indestructible. I have hauled 3 elk at...
Carry a small saw to clear a shooting lane or make a rest. A long endless paracord sling can be looped around a tree, from a branch....etc. you simply have to make yourself shoot improvised position shots to make it happen. You then learn to limit your range based on your platform.....if prone...
You shooting mil or moa scope? You could go speed if it's mil or just scope something 20" tall at 400 and see what your hold looks like. Unless you're shooting ground squirrels, a 375 target has a few spare inches of elevation error available and most 375h&h rifles shoot pretty amazing.
A...
I'll dig out my palma rifle one of these days and get a picture through the sights. It is just a circle front....no cross or blade. Your brain will put the target in the middle of the middle.
Guys are missing out on the hot ticket for accurate shots at longer ranges by switching up the rear sight. Keep the front as minimal and uncluttered as possible. If you need a holdover use the bottom of the globe.
If you truly want to be accurate and still see through the sight, use the...
