    Traditional Muzzleloader Shooters timid?

I shoot side locks and trad bows but I give zero fuchs what anyone else chooses to do. I have killed enough that I am making it more of a challenge for me.....but you don't need to play by my rules, just be ethical, diligent and grateful for the opportunities we have. Remember, comparison is...

Possibly the most fun gun I've hunted with....

I have been after a muzzleloading shotgun for a long time. I wanted to find a way to use up a #25 bag of shot that's been on my shelf for 15 years and with as much swiss 2f as I have been burning trying to get to the next level with my rifle....a SxS just made sense. I tried to buy this gun, a...

    Traditional vs Elope

My wife and I got married by a friend of mine without a reception nor any guests. Some of my friends spent thousands and thousands on the wedding and more on the honeymoon. We spent about $18 on everything. 15 years later our house and cars are paid off and my friends who spent the most on the...

    Cold weather boot

One of the most overlooked components of warm feet is warm legs. You have a ton of area to shed heat on the way to your feet. When I worked @-30*f every day I always had down goretex pants to keep my legs warm. I could work in 400g boots until I would be stuck in one spot like running a boom...

    Single stage press upgrade

I have a rockchucker 2 set up with hornady qc adapters. I spent half as much on them and shell holders as the price of my coax press and they simply are not as good. I machined a spacer for my rockchucker so i could pull dies from my hornady ammo plant and drop them into my forster....that part...

    Single stage press upgrade

I'd strongly suggest looking at the forster coax. The forster is so much easier and more accurate than my rcbs was that I will probably never touch my rock chucker again. No shell holders, no spinning dies....always accurate and the mechanical advantage is unbelievable.

    Idaho Non-Resident Tag Sale

I've been doing this for a long time and never seen anyone buy more than 2 people tags. One guy was a idfg employee buying one for his pard. People will always complain, but it takes dedication to hunt here and if one day in December is too much for you, this probably isn't the best fit.

Rocksett to epoxy action to stock?

Hit the action with Johnson paste wax, buff it back and bed....don't break it free, it'll be as close to a glue in as you can get.

No wonder we lose our rights

I shoot longbows to 2 mile rigs. I really don't care how you do it. If I want to be effective I will. If I want to be challenged....I will. What REALLY hurts us is social. People used to have their ideas on how our game is played.....now everyone shows the world.....and 4 digit kill shots that...

    Youth packs for hauling meat

Don't feel like you are married to a green or brown pack. There's a lot of female hikers that have the body size you're looking for.

Sightron S1 or Burris Fullfield II?

I broke a couple ff2's. Sightron is possibly the most underrated worst marketed scope mfr ever. They make a very good product. My s8 is what I gauge everything against optically.....and yet most don't even know that thing exits.

Who was in line in Idaho today?

And the gas stations, restaurants, hotels, taxis, car rentals......yada yada. Just show up and you'll win. It's that easy.

    Idaho Non-Resident Tag Sale

I took the day off work and bought fuel, food some goodies at BUCK and shelled out my $1200.00. It's worth it to me to travel in to get the tags.

Should all hunts be draw/quota tags?

I'm sure the prime whitetail states would love to go draw only and our wolf population would certainly appreciate it if the guys that have finally figured out how to kill them would sit on the couch because they didn't draw a tag......or they could just hunt wolves and the poor guy from the...
