Look at this thread before I tell you something that’s not accurate!
Well when you say “older” bag are you talking really old or guidelite MT old?
I don’t know the Ultra Light frames, just MT. MT has the buckles that have the compressed middle.
Well there are way too many personal encounters of Roksliders cuddling snakes that I’ve ruled out the tarp on the ground.
I can rig a flat tarp to sleep in the bed of a truck in a couple minutes or bring a tent. A snake in the truck bed or under the tent floor seems a lot less likely or awful...
Planning to hunt archery opener in Central/Eastern WY and will likely camp on BLM since I’m not near anything.
I’ve always heard the tale of rattlers coming to your sleeping pad at night, is this actually a concern that I should bring a tent instead of just a tarp? I’m in NC and not new to...
Get a plastic arrow box - Easton and MTM make them. You can put a dozen arrows in there, or like 6 with BHs if you wanted to spin them before your trip.
Protects broadheads, vanes, fingers, and strings.
My first elk hunt my buddy cut his hand screwing on BHs at the trailhead lol
I’ve got both VA and NC and don’t regret them. I’m no longer a VA resident but hunt there every year and I still have to buy a nonres deer/turkey license which is a bummer
What is the consensus on here?
Shoot bare shafts and turn the nocks until consistent through paper or impact? Or shoot fletched groups and then turn nocks for any arrows that don’t consistently group?
Where do you fit this into your tuning steps? After bareshaft tuning the bow? It’s more...
I hunt in NC and unless we get some crazy weather, our ducks are smart and in small groups. Here are my tips:
1. Location is more important than decoys and calling
2. Everyone puts out 1-2dozen mallards. I look different. I put out 4-6 and use a jerk cord. Or I go big with a few dozen & some...
I’ve only shot the 777 pellets, not the 777 powder, and they were super dirty. They are what I used before BH. Now with the scarcity when I run out I’m worried I’ll have to go back to the pellets
I had some rings that corroded on an old Leupold scope I inherited and was worried about stripping/shearing the hardware removing. I sent the scope and rings into Leupold with a request to remove. They did it, no problem. Similar issue here even if it's a Trijicon scope
