Like said above they handle pressure better, and I use 450s for all my Creedmoor size guns too. Thus 95% of my shooting can be the same primer and it happens to be available more often than others.

At high impact velocities, the bullet could be rapidly fragmenting the onside and not much bullet left exiting the animal, creating a small exit as the hide stretches. What did the actual vitals wound look like and how far inside the entrance was upset observed?

The manufacturer estimated .525 G1, but they had not validated it or gotten their lab results back. I took velocity data from a good amount of shots and trued the BC at 1000+ yards and it was .480ish if I recall.
