Sounds like the drone tied your hands, which is weird. The buck was clearly hurting and likely going to die a slow death. So the drone guy had to check again, which then delayed you another 24 hours after each check?
This was an unfortunate hunting accident that never should have happened.
As pointed out by many, basic firearms safety absolutely would have prevented this from happening. When hunting with others, I don't chamber a round until I am ready to shoot an animal. There is no chance of a negligent...
Personally, I want to hold out for a mature buck, so if I don’t see one, I’m fine not filling my tag. I won’t knock another hunter’s decision to shoot a small buck though.
I've got the 62 gr ELDVT up to 3650 out of my 22 CM. Going to toss the thermal on it and go with that for the winter. Hoping to put a few down with that combo.
My alpha brass did they same thing - super tight neck tension to the point of deforming projectiles. Once I ran a mandrel through it, I was able to seat projectiles just fine. No issues after the first firing.
Wow, that’s a crazy long wait.
I would call Eurooptic to see if they can help in anyway. They may exchange you for another rifle and they can deal with the warranty on the original.
Worth a call.
The days of the great deals seem to be gone. When I’m listing stuff, I want it gone, so I price accordingly. Even then, I still get “what’s your bottom dollar?” almost every time.
