so I have a little problem. first of all took forever to receive the barreled action from aero, now I’m trying to drop it in a xlr and the back set screw is catching the bolt.problem is it’s a rem 700 clone and I had a bergara crest in the xlr before hand using the same set screws , any ideas why this is happening?

I would grind the bolt or buy a shorter one. Or, drop a washer.

Sometimes it happens that the action screw is too long for a particular action. Call XLR to see what they say.

Easy fix - grind the action screw or buy shorter.
