If it's just a slider, it can be fixed a home fairly easily. I did it on my TiGoat tipi. Cutting stitches is delicate work, and rerunnning zippers from the tail is more difficult than from the nose, but not impossible. You wouldn't need to do anything at the top.
If the zipper itself is bad and...
Nope. It's flat, nonstop cold, no scenery, desolate...think about the movie "Fargo". Nothing to see or do here. Most folks head to MN when they want to get away. Must be better over there.
I would prefer Watford over Williston, although they both have improved dramatically since back in the boom days.
Dickinson is full. Nothing to see or do here.
We make packs for exactly your situation. Call or PM me if you have any questions.

@TheCougar did a review a couple years ago, and we've made some upgrades since then.

Manhattan (Montana) staking out a subdivision. I heard bleed-over voice traffic on our little handheld radios. Someone said "...this is bigger than Pearl Harbor..." and "...my cousin at NORAD says they're at Defcon 1...". A couple hours later we went to a gas station for a break and asked the...
It easily stitched through 2 layers of light to medium weight boot tongue leather to make a hatchet blade cover. I'm not sure how that translates to leather weight.
Check out the youth forum. The Cougar did a good review a while back, and we've made some upgrades since.
As he mentioned, belts come in two sizes, so I'm sure we could find something to work. We're also starting to build 22" frames to extend the lifespan. Call or PM anytime...
I have 2 pretty much like the Sears, just different model years (see post #2 above). Rock solid. They easily handle 2-3 layers of webbing and cordura. Even punched thru 1/16" HDPE and a couple layers of webbing. No go on 1/2" foam though. The needle stroke is too short. The Singer looks...
I missed with 2 points.
Lots of public land in antelope country but often difficult to get far enough from roads and trails to escape the herds of drivers.
Another hunting season and Rokslide’s 2022 Youth Hunt Photo Contest are upon us! Once again, we are looking forward to more photos of the next generation of hunters with the results of their hard work and learning.
This year's first prize will be a Foliage Green Elkhorn Package, a 2750-cubic...
Very true. Slow and twisty, but gorgeous.
Also, there's about 10 miles of construction on 89 between St Mary and 49 right now so watch your timing.
And gas up in Browning or somewhere on the west side, depending on your route. Gas was $6 in St Mary yesterday.
I just went through Glacier today. Great scenery, but what a zoo!! I wanted to hike, but my Boy Scouts were tired and mopy, and it was difficult to find a parking spot. This was my 4th or 5th trip, and I will probably never go back in the peak season.
Can't help much with age appropriate...
I left Belgrade and Bozeangeles to come here. Now when we pass through we just stop for food--Pickle Barrel, Bar 3, La Parilla.
We hunt whatever we can draw. Prefer MD, but mostly WT does. Youngest kid drew his golden ticket this year and wants a WT buck.
The kids and I have been heading over for MD does. Now that they're big enough, we're considering expanding to more challenging stuff.
Just in my observations, there's a lot of migration between MN, ND, and MT. Mostly east to west I think, such as some of my relatives. The west to east...
