No, those arrows are way to stiff, you should be in the 400-350. IMO if you are getting a V3X get the right arrows for it. Don't get a great bow and then get arrows that won't tune and match with that setup.
For out west I would say that 240 is pretty slow. I would try to be in that 260+ range. For whitetails that setup would kill the crap out of them. But for out west I would say that you could lighten up a bit and gain some speed.
I will eventually get a Bitz or a Vane Master Pro someday. But for now I will only be doing a dozen arrows and just need something that is good enough for now.
It's not just the helical for me. Like is said above I will be using TAC vanes which are a little tricky for adhesion. So I want to go 1 vane at a time. And don't want to use a AZ EZ Fletch.
The only thing I have against the AZ EZ Fletch is I will be using TAC vanes. And they are a little tricky for adhesion. And I don't want a crazy helical. Only 1-2 degrees
I would do that if the pro shop by me hadn't lost all of my trust. I got a new bow from them and when they set me up they screwed up not 1, not 2, but 3 things. So I don't have any trust for them to do my arrows. So I am going to do them myself
I am getting some new arrows and want to fletch them up myself. I know the Bitzenburger is a great jig, but am tight on money and $100 for a jig right now would be hard(I just spent a lot of money on the new arrows and components.) I have been looking at the Bohning pro class jig. I will be...
One - Hoyt Torrex. I am in high school and parents weren't to happy when I dropped $1600 on this bow.(I absolutely loved the idea. Parents not so much.) So needless to say I won't be getting a second bow anytime soon. Absolutely love the bow so I don't really have a desire to get a second bow.
I am getting a new dozen arrows and trying to decide what vanes I want. I use fixed blade broadheads so I need a vane combination that is capable of steering a fixed blade. And I don't want a high profile vane because of clearance. I have been looking at these 2 vanes and if I should go with a 3...
This year I shot a deer with a 415gr arrow with about 11% FOC, which is a light arrow. I got a new bow right before season and didn't have time to perfect my setup.(I wanted a heavier arrow, but didn't have time to change) Can you use a light arrow and be successful, yes. Can you use a heavy...
Hello, I am getting some new easton axis 5mm shafts. And I am trying to determine what spine I need. Here is the specs of how the arrow is going to be built.
- 27in Carbon to Carbon or 27 3/8 from Throat of Nock
- 28.5in Draw Length
- 70lbs
- 175 Grains up front - 50 gr insert, 25gr iron will...
With the easton axis. Have you had any issues with nock tuning to get the spine in a certain spot. The only thing I have against them is that you don't know where the spine of the arrow is. Where victory Arrows already align that for you.
With the snyder core system. Do you have to use iron will broadheads and field points? Cause to me it looks like you do. And that eliminates it for me. I don't want to have to spend $100 every time I need a new pack of broadheads.
