I need to get some new arrows. I need them in a 300 spine and preferably between a 8-9.5 GPI so I can get my final arrow weight from 475-500. I want a 5mm(0.204 ID) arrow with tight tolerances. My budget is about $200/ dozen. I have been looking at Victory RIP TKO's. But would like to know if...
This was my first year bowhunting ever. And a week before opening of gun season. My uncle dry fired the bow I was going to use(my dads old bow). We brought it to a shop and they couldn't repair it in time for opener. Needless to say I bought a new bow the day(Sunday) after he dry fired my dads...
1. Personally I would get the Bear Whitetail Legend. It is a solo cam so it will have a very smooth draw cycle. Which will be nice for you since you are getting into compound bows.
2. Don't quite know what you mean by this. I'm 17, 5'8" 180lbs, I pull back 70 lbs. So you should be able to pull...
I don't like the idea of a 2 blade broadhead with no bleeders double or single bevel. If I ever shoot a 2 blade broadhead it will have bleeder blades for sure. Right now I am shooting the QAD Exodus. I like a 3 blade better, just because you have one more cutting surface. And a triangle hole...
You sound pretty good to me. I would stick with the 100 grain broadheads since they are flying better. The 125 are weakening your spine a bit which is why they aren't as consistent. Keep the 100's on and I would say you are good to go.
Ok. when I bring in my bow for a tune up in about a month or so I will have them cut an inch or so of of my arrows. After cutting an inch off. Do you think a 125 grain head will be ok then with the shorter arrow?
I am thinking about changing my arrow setup slightly. Here are my specs currently.
-70lb DW
-28.5" DL
-Black Eagle Zombie Slayer 350 Spine
-42 Grain Brass Insert
-100 Grain Broadhead
With vanes and Lighted nock my arrow weight is 415 grains with an 11% FOC.
I am thinking about changing my...
Here are my specs
70lb
28.5" DL
29" Black Eagle Zombie Slayer 350 Spine
42 Grain Brass Insert
100 Grain Broadhead
With everything else like vanes and lighted nock the arrow weighs in at 415 Grains. I am a whitetail guy and just shot my first ever deer with this setup. It zipped right through...
I use the QAD Exodus. I shot my first deer with a bow this year. He ended up being a pretty decent 8 point. I was on the ground calling and he came in perfect. Shot him at around 20 yards. Complete pass through. He only ran 43 yards and tipped over. Best blood trail I have ever seen. The exodus...
I hunted for 4 years before I got to take my first deer. It was a doe. But by how excited I was, you would have thought it was a 200" buck. I agree with what people have said above. The only way to eliminate buck fever is to shoot deer. Whether that is a buck or doe it doesn't matter. If you can...
