A shitty Bergara 300WM that wouldn't shoot and Bergara wouldn't stand behind is the reason I picked up a Tikka in the first place.
Much nicer rifles in every way. CVA is just a cheaper Bergarbage.
I'm no expert but I did listen to Form's podcast on terminal ballistics. My takeaway:
For equal impact velocities and bullets of similar construction, penetration will be proportional to weight. That said, 140's kill any animal in north America, recommended impact velocities above 1800fps...
Oof. Just a couple weeks too late for my 22 Creed build, but at least I hope my sacrifices will ultimately benefit the community. Mods can you please change my title from WKR to QC Jesus?
WTF - anyone notice this before?
Bullet diameters for 77 TMK's and 80 ELDM's are consistently 0.2235" diameter. 88 ELDM's are consistently 0.224". With a tight throat/bore, I'm wondering if my dud barrel might shoot lighter bullets...
key word: individual
They are aggregating and anonymizing. So if you're dropping blood tracks or posting "big bull" on waypoints, those are easily aggregated by OnX. Pretty amazing what even amateur data scientists can do with lots of data. It would be easy to filter out successful hunters from...
It's meaningless in terms of privacy protection, but vague enough that it gives them full latitude to do whatever the hell they want with your data to make more money.
Jake mentioned on a podcast that in fact railed Tikkas did need another mold due to popularity. Not sure if that happened or not.
Either way my guess is staffing for finishing is the hold up. Also maybe the new lugs they had to start making.
Not strictly true. Just think how OnX mines ALL your honey holes and now even trail camera photos. You pay and they still sell your data, they just anonymize it.
I wish a privacy based hunting gps option would be available.
I'm curious why your PRC is so slow?
I'm getting 2650 fps in my creed with 43g of h4350 and 147 eldms, 18" barrel Tikka.
I'd want north of 2850 with aprc
With the amount of orders for THIS specific SKU I think they’re playing dumb. Sort of like Hornady saying you can’t hunt with match bullets.
They don’t want to acknowledge that one out of their 10+ scopes is vastly superior and you should only purchase that one. They even offered up a...
Maven said that they were caught flat-footed by the overwhelming response and that the October shipment would be significant and expected to not sell out immediately like previous shipments. Kind of late for many hunts this year, but probably just a couple weeks away from reasonable...
