No doubt it would benefit me long term but I don’t have anywhere to put the equipment and as OCD as I am, the last thing I need is another hobby that requires exactness and precision.
Thanks for the suggestions. I did call Unknown today and that’s when I found out that they aren’t reloading. I guess I was so shocked to find that out that it never crossed my mind to get load data. Hopefully Unknown chimes in with some recommendations as I can’t be the only one in this...
I found Unknown Munitions several years ago via Rokslide and ended up buying loaded ammunition from them for 3 of my rifles eventually owning 300 or more rounds each for my 6.5 PRC, 7 SAUM and .300 PRC. I have always kept my brass and boxes from them with the full intentions of sending...
I have shot/handled exactly one and it was as good as any other custom I’ve ever shot. Stiller action, proof cf barrel, their own IOTA stock, etc. It was a really nice rifle. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy one. It actually made my short list when shopping for my latest 6.5 PRC.
First forum I ever joined was a local Texas saltwater fishing forum. I used to be really mad at spotted sea trout (speckled trout) and literally used to fish every day so Cynoscion, the genus name, seemed appropriate. I haven’t been that mad at them in years and don’t fish much at all anymore...
Nothing on my trophy. It stinks but I’ve already decided I will never see it again. The sad reality of hunting overseas is that it’s always a possibility. I’ve done it a lot and always been very fortunate to get my trophies back. It was bound to happen eventually.
Glad you found tiburons. They are pretty much the only “hunting brand” pant you can wear in south Texas year round. I know you said you’re a pasty white guy like me but the tiburon shorts are pretty awesome too. They’re my weekend go to shorts.
I have an old Whitworth in .375 H&H. I used 2 piece steel Talley bases with steel quick detach Talley rings and had zero issues mounting an old 2-7 Leupold vx2. Have you looked at going with something like this? It’s a pretty common DG rifle setup bc it allows you too pull the optic off in a...
I have 4 of these. My favorite riflescope by far. Tough, reliable and repeatable.

Proper usage is no different however what Form and others discussed about wind brackets and standard calibers will not work near as cleanly as with mil/mil.
Yessir. I always take my own filter system and stove. As far as the stove goes, I carry an MSR whisperlite international. Buy 2 fuel bottles for it and take them with you. Only new or VERY clean new ones will be allowed on the airplane. The beauty of the whisperlite international is that it can...
