Instant Oatmeal and coffee for breakfast.
Peanut butter-honey sandwich for lunch.
Peak dehydrated meals for dinner.
Snacks during the day include Honey Stingers, trail mix, Kind bars, almonds, cashews, pecans. And some snack sized candy bars. I also mix up some powdered drinks for hydration...
I like the MTN OPS stuff (at 30% off)... and whatever protein powder is on sale. Yea... I'm cheap.
I have tried a bunch of different stuff. I feel like any reputable company that has a decent creatine, protein, pre-workout, and recovery product will probably help.... in addition to a good diet...
Black Eagle X-Impact with the focus system.
They have been really good. The system allows you to adjust total weight and align broadheads.
I used VAP prior and prefer these after using them for the past 2 years.
We did an hour and a half ride in and out on a drop camp a couple years ago (8 miles total). I used a Mystery Ranch Terraframe 80 (about 4800 cu in). It had 12 - 15 lbs of gear and was cinched down pretty tight to reduce the overall volume. The pack was not an issue for me or the horse. I have...

I used a few boxes of Norma 180 Bondstrikes to break in the barrel and fire form brass. Those averaged 2905. Velocity is listed at 3084 on the box.

I wear liners with Darntough merino hikers. I carry leukotape just in case, but I have not used any since I started wearing liners.
In the past I would tape up my feet before putting on socks. That worked for a while. The tape stayed pretty good, but would need to be reapplied every other day...
I probably don't need it. It's just a hunting rifle. No competitions or long strings at the range for me. The reports of them melting and not fitting or slipping make it seem like more of a hassle than it's worth (for 99% of what I do).
I can see the value for other folks. Especially dealing...
Yes, unfortunately. AB Raptor 6 stack/5" reflex heats up quickly on my 300 WSM.
I was considering a cover for the can, but this thread has me second guessing that purchase.
If hiking for a long time without plans to use the spotter, it's in the pack in a neoprene case. If hiking from one glassing point to another, it's under the pack lid for quicker access.
