You guys have me all hyped up to try these out this year. I bought 400 of them so I’m ready to see what they do on a deer! Will be using my ruger predator 223 and a 223 wylde 20” AR

Just an update. Finally got the 77s to shoot something decent. Ended up tweaking seating depth with a longer metal mag. My first time really messing with seating depth and was pleasantly surprised to see it improve accuracy

A 20” 223 wylde chamber with a 1/8 twist. AR15. I guess my next step is to increase seating depth out to 2.310 with new metal ASC mags and see if anything improves

In my other rifle which is a 223 predator im running tac with a 73 eldm and it’s shooting 0.3 ish moa on a good day. Not sure why these 77s are giving me so much trouble! I may have to settle for a 1.5 moa group lol

I am about 70 rounds into this load development with not much to show for it. I did a powder test and found a decent area with Low ES and SD but best groups were 1.5 MOA. I’m now doing a ladder test with seating depth. I bought a metal ASC to gain a bit more COAL up to 2.315. I’m going to now...
I would agree sir. I’m also trying something else this year. I’ve got a 20” BCA 223 wylde that I have loaded up with some 77 TMK going 2830 fps. They should absolutely hammer critters and maybe deer within 100. Probably just doe

I have been meaning to post these success stories from this years deer hunts so here we go!
I have a Bear Creek Arsenal (BCA) 7.62x39 AR15 16" that I worked up a hand load for consiting of the following:
* Fiocci Brass
* CFE BLK Powder
* Hornady 123 SST
* 2536 FPS avg velocity
I have several...
Can anyone share load data for 77 tmk and tac in a 556chamber? My manual has it but it doesn’t seem right. Johnnys reloading took it up to 24.8 grains. Is that about right for max? Working up a load now. Yes I did a search in this thread
I could get behind a 458 socom I think. But the ammo cost would probably keep me from doing much practice. Whatever rig I end up with I want to be very proficient at it

Like I said above, my experience of hearing an unsurpressed AR in closed doors was awful. Also in the event of having to shoot indoors I would much prefer a sub sonic suppressed round for the sake of my kids while sleeping. I can’t imagine them waking up to the sound of an unsuppressed AR...
I use to think the same way but about a year ago I was in the same room as a short barreled AR that was discharged by someone and not only was it deafening but it also made me very distorted. Like to the point of I’m not sure if I could adequately respond to an intruder after the first shot. It...
Man that’s good to know then. Maybe a 300 BO would more fit the bill then. A short 556 with a can would still be deafening if shot indoors huh

If I was able to easily suppress my hkp30sk I may consider that route but the perk of being able to suppress a 9mm PCC has my interest. Love my HK too

So I’m really wanting to build something for very close quarter range run and home defense. Something that I can suppress. I was about to go down the 300 BO road. 8” barrel and can etc. but then I got to thinking about a 9mm of some sort. I love the idea of not having to trim 9mm brass for...
