What the hell? I have 4 on back order and didn't get a call or a charge on my card. 1 from January, February, and 2 on Black friday.
I better get a call tomorrow!
Fun stuff: Still have a doe tag to fill, ice fishing, and gotta put together a 6.5 grendel AR upper.
Not so fun: Bathroom remodel that I can't put off any longer. I also bought a course on learning how to code with Python. Figure I'll work on it thru the winter. I'm practically computer...
I bought myself a 16" Aero upper, 2 stripped lower receivers, and 2 LaRue MBT triggers. I already have more AR's than sense but with an assault weapons ban looming (IL), might as well grab more.
Not sure what my fiancée got me but if she picked from my amazon wish list, then I should be...
A lot of people, myself included, kinda figured that the FF IV wouldn't be the same quality as the II's. The reasoning is based on the fact that Burris switched manufacturing from the Philippines to China. I'm assuming they did this so that costs could be kept low while adding new features.
Consider me in the "uncertain" camp since I'd never presume to tell someone they didn't see what they think they did, unless I saw it with them.
With that said, don't be so sure that poor folks don't buy exotics. I have known several people that had really expensive pets but were poor as shit...
Who knows, man, maybe those huge knobs are a part of the special sauce that makes these swfa's so tough? Start messing with the recipe and bad things might happen. Haha
There was a tiger on the loose when I lived in NW Louisiana. It was a juvenile, weighing about 350 lbs, that was set free by its owner. When I moved away, about a month later, it was still lurking around....or maybe it was a damn nice rug by then. I never did find out if it was killed or not.
When I lived in southern WV, I knew two people that claimed to have seen black panthers. The first was an old feller that saw one in the 80's. The other was a social worker that drove around a lot for her job and saw two on a bluff above the highway.
I was close to both people and never knew...
I have the Burris FFII 3-9x40 and recently acquired the E1 3-9x50 off Amazon for $130. Between the 2 scopes, I think I like the E1 better because the eye piece doesn't rotate when adjusting magnification. I like the FFII reticle more though because it's bolder. As long as you don't care about...
I asked him the same question a year or two ago and he recommended the Hawkins hybrids. They're similar to Talleys but more robust and have built in bubble level. I took his advice and am very pleased with them.

I'm just one of the multitude of 'poors' that lurk around here so I recommend that you buy the swfa and spend the rest of your budget on ammo and a good sling.
Those trijicon's sure do look nice though!
Just got the tracking number from Athlon today for my replacement scope. That was a pretty quick turn around. I appreciate the company standing by their warranty but I wish their products were more durable though.
Haven't really been in the mood for a new dog since mine died a little over a year ago. Picked up this little dingus instead and named him Frisco. He's pretty cool, can be loving, likes to play fetch, but mostly loves to hump the hell out of his stuffed animals.
The fact that you and Form BOTH had wonky zeroing adjustments is seriously making me question whether I want to even keep one for a light-use rifle. Maybe as a "set and forget" setup but even then...why keep one?
On sale/military discount, they cost about $430 total with shipping. For another...
