ALready having two bikes (one will most likely go) I have fire roads and "normal" riding covered. I am somewhat enamored by dirt bike training videos.
"Hard Enduro" makes me cringe as an overused term. Right there with "overlanding". Ugh. I drink Miller Lite in pounders. Not IPAs.
THere...
I was hoping for an "older" more seasoned crowd. Kick stand broken off the Husky. Really enjoy a kickstand. Think I'll pass on this specific bike.
I have a Rekluse clutch question.
I see soooo many 2 strokes have them. I maybe get the concept, but never rode a Rekluse bike. What's it do...
Think I want lighter weight (both bikes are probably 270lbs wet) and boring.
I'd have no issue w GasGas or Beta....but if it's a decent bike in 2014ish vintage...they go quick and generally $6K. Like to find juuuuust a little cheaper than that.
I am an older rider. Just picking it up. Have a long running thread from a year ago about bike for backwoods.
My skills have been progressing. I'd like to try a 2 stoke bike. I simply am not going to dump $11,000 into a KTM 300 XC-W.
Are there many torquey older bikes to recommend that...
Spoke to a USFWS biologist a few years ago duck hunting. Stated that the Blues were the BEST elk habitat in the United States. Has everything. And also stated nobody in Olympia would listen tho them re: enhanced predator control.
I surf and dream real estate maybe 3X per day. $400,000 in Kalispell maybe get's you a 2 acre lot. Or a house outside of town. $400,000 in central Arkansas get's your a decent house, 2500sq and 10 acres...sometimes with a pond. Looks like several large timber co tracts in central state too...
@Camera Land In your opinion...by Point and Shoot....do you envision anything similar to a new tech FZ2500 in the next few years?
And for a Bridge like what I am asking for.....do you think any brands will upgrade and release anything new?
Again....I don't need Pro quality or publishable...
I've started looking at Arkansas......will never do it. I can afford the West. We will see what retirement looks like. But I think Arkansas is the Montana of the SE
Deer Lodge, Drummond, Three Forks all generally cheaper. Just dirtier and dingier....hence the reduced price tags. Dillon generally is not Cheap.
Central MT like Shawmut and Harlowtown cheap too. Roundup cheap also.
RE: Libby I do find Libby "cool". Almost relocated there maybe 4 years ago. Wife is in emergency medicine. The hospital has been renovated and is very nice. Town has just enough flair and pop. Super market is nice and clean. Couple outdoor shops and power sports shops. Nice micro...
I make a pretty good wage. You must do waaaaaay better than me if you're trolling for 20-40 acre chunks. Even in Lincoln Co...if it buts public land and has any access.....I would think that's $220,000 minimum.
I do own a chunk in Lincoln Co. And it's bordered by USFS on two sides. I can...
What do you mean "Olympic berth"??
@LostArra I was just ready to resurrect this thread and see your opinion.
I feel pretty gutted. I'll get over it. Sharing your Toys sux. Okie State was my second favorite program in the 'Ringer, Kaid Brock, Weigel, White, Picinnini days. I am sure I can...
RE: tracking. I am rather confident that if you simply cut the dog loose (DD) they will track/trail/search and locate a carcass. It's us the Fs them up. But not generally legal and as useful.
The bringsel stuff is amazing. Blows my mind how you'd train them to do it.
Semi OT...but we have a mutual friend (I think) who has a United Blood Tracking Dog.....he finds the DDs struggle on blood. And I agree. Just too much HP and nose up and balls out. Hard to slow them down effectively.
Any exp. getting one to slow down and keep a nose down?
Jason-
Not trying to pick scabs. I run in the same circles. And would take my DD any/everywhere. And will with the next one. My old dog is about done.
Having just returned as a WA resident( I F'ing hate it)....I could have sworn there is language that states "not in the presence of big...
