I honestly have no idea. How do I find out?
Longest continuous run has probably been 30 minutes or so.
Thanks. I assume I should use hose clamps instead zip ties on the new fuel line connections. Pretty sure I saw another motor with zip ties on the fuel lines. Common?
Thank you sir. You see...
Understand that I'm new to boats as I just got this a few months back. It has a 94 Mercury Mariner. The choke activates when you push the key into the ignition. Once I've gotten to my fishing spot and fish a while, I go to start it back up and it just cranks but never starts. Then it'll start...
I'll preface by saying the motor has never left me stranded - just left me sitting at a dried up fishing hole longer than I would have liked. :) Its a Mercury Mariner 40HP two stroke. It can sit for weeks and when I hook it up to water at the house, it'll start after a few tries. It cuts off a...
Coming up on a month with no alcohol this Friday. This may be the longest I've ever gone without a beer since I started drinking at 21. I'm 38 now. I'm not saying I'll never have another beer but I needed to take a step back and evaluate some things. I was drinking four (sometimes five) 16 oz...
Thanks guys. I'll return the Amazon stat and look elsewhere. Hard to beat the $55 prime day price tag on it though. Trane products look considerably more expensive so I'll probably just keep what I have.
Nope, no answers yet. I've read that these Amazon T-stats are based off of Honeywell. Good eye.
Honestly, I haven't opened the box b/c I was afraid I wouldn't be able to return it. Pic is from the web. So I'm not sure about your question but can do some digging. What are you getting at with...
So I bought an Amazon smart t-stat on prime day hoping to have more control over our heatpump while away. I went thru the tutorial to see if my heat pump was compatible or not. According to that, it was not but I read reviews where this wasn't always accurate.
I have a Trane XL20i heat pump...
Dang, sorry to hear that. Our old girl Molly (just turned 14 last month) is still doing good. She's had this episode a couple times but recovered fully for the most part. Still has a little head tilt. Sucks seeing them get old.
Appreciate the advice! Don't list on turning? What do you mean? I noticed on our first outing, I did a sharp right turn and it looked like the right rear corner of the boat was awfully close to going under water. Is that what you're talking about?
I appreciate the reply but I really don't want to drop that kind of money on a trolling motor. I was hoping to keep it under $500. I like to fish but I'm not that serious about it. Maybe that will change now that I actually have a "real" boat and not a kayak. LOL
Thanks. How do I know if my outboard charges the battery? I asked the previous owner and he said it did but I would like to confirm. It is electric start. Is it like a car alternator - where would it be located?
Thanks. Next thing I'm trying to figure how is anchor type and weight. Do most people use the manual anchor winches? If you can't tell, I'm a complete newbie when it comes to boating.
I guess wiring in a trickle charger for my trolling battery would be a good idea too?
