    Inconsistent groups

    What scope and base/ring setup? I’d look at those before the load especially with an ES and SD like that. Just curious what cartridge/powder and bullet?

    Rifle Build - Rem 700

    I’d personally put a trigger and stock on it. Bed the action and go shoot it. If you handload I would choose something like the 168-180VLD/ELD and see how the rifle shoots. Under MOA I’d start testing at longer distances to fine tune and then practice practice practice. Then go kill critters.

    Pretty common with many brands of stocks and bottom metal combos. Contact Hawkins I think they make some longer screws also.

    200 yard grouping

    The 100 yard group doesn’t look bad especially considering a new shooter. The 200 could use some help. What scopes are on the rifles? Are you shooting off a bench with bags? Bipod? Prone? How’s the trigger pull? Been adjusted or factory?

    I wouldn’t rule out that VX5 either. I had a like new VX5 that wouldn’t dial correctly and when I sent it in the list of things they fixed was half a page. I have since moved on from them.

    Did you send the picture to copper creek? To be honest the groups aren’t terrible. Also what scope and mount?

    Is the rifle bedded and free floated enough? Your POI didn’t change much through your handloads which is a good thing. Did you chronograph them? I would probably retest shot group blue. What grain increments are those loaded in?

    Gotcha. Gonna be very interesting in 2024 for WY draw odds. I suspect the Max point units won’t change much but many of the mid/lower tier may.
