I am wondering the same thing. I have the 5k but didn't know you could input bow specs for more accurate output if that’s what the prior post implies.
I’ve always used AMR in Best mode.
So many choices.
Shoot the one that flies best from your bow.
Good arrow flight is paramount. And make them sharp. Sharp from the package isn’t necessarily sharp.
They should easily shave hair. Every blade. If they don’t, learn how to sharpen them. I would put my bets on a low cost fixed blade...
Since we’re on the subject, what is the appropriate/adequate KE number for a mechanical like a Sevr for big game?
My KE for current set up is 62 ft/#’s
I’ve always used a fixed blade. Didn’t think my KE was adequate for a mechanical on elk sized animals.
Congrats!
Definitely higher poundage, KE, and bow speed than many on this forum.
I carried Sevr’s all season but stuck with a fixed blad when it can time to send one. Like you, the Sevr will be a back up for a longer shot, ideally a follow-up.
Solo this year for me. 27 miles in two days of packing. I enjoyed it and hated it all at the same time but I’m ready for next year. This year was rough and it took me a week to miss it and I was back in the woods before the end of season just to test my skills and see if I could find elk and...

Clairol Volume 40 Pure White hair dye.
You can purchase it at beauty supply or Amazon.
Just tape off the Broadhead and paint this on or don’t paint the broadhead section.
You won’t get any splash or drip. It’s like a thin gel.
The post on persistence is so true. You can’t kill an elk from the house and very few are killed in camp!
Hunt every possible chance you have and multiply the odds in your favor. Every encounter, or not, is a learning opportunity that will pay dividends in the future. Many elk have been killed...
The arrow entered left of frontal and went through the bull lengthwise all the way to his rear hind quarter. The broadhead was returned to my quiver in shaving-sharp condition. Even I was surprised.
I hung the meat on a windy knife ridge and could already begin to feel it cool. I leapfrogged...
I made a post before the season of my elk goals:
Kill another bull solo.
Improve on my calling and spot and stalk technique
Improve upon my mountain skills.
Avoid bee’s nests
Have Fun.
In that order!
I spent the pre-season perfecting the sequences shared in @ElkNut1 ’s app and I went into...
