    Outfitters banning bergers?!

Our last outfitter all the guides all preferred bergers or eldms. They didn't call me a fudd with my 300wm and ttsxs though. 6 cows down between 200 and 520 yards from 6 hunters. 6.5 prc, 284wm, 300wm, 300 prc. I dont think the elk liked any of them.

    Inconsistent results from Hornady App?

19.9 MOA of windage with no wind input. I would say that it is not working correctly.

Best all around Whitetail clothing setup for Illinois?

In IL myself and I have found that walking out a little cold and adding layers once I'm at my stand or blind works best. I wear a mix of Sitka and store brands mostly bought on the discount rack. The Sitka layers with "windstopper" work great on windy days without adding bulk. Really haven't...

Trigger Stick Tripod with clamp - or somethign similar

Due to spotty reviews I have avoided these. However my hunting partner used one this week and I was impressed at how fast and steady it was for a seated shot. He was set up in less time as I was using my hatch bipod in the rocky terrain. From what I saw I think it would be easy for you to hold...

    Bipod help

This is my first year running the hatch. I love how adjustable and versatile it is. I dont love it down low and prone doing multiple shots. The 45 degree forward postion doesnt hold well under recoil. However getting into seated or kneeling positions is fast and sturdy. I did a lot of digging...

20 gauge slug gun help with purchase

I wouldnt worry about a couple threads there as long as everything is tight. I also would not hesitate to send it back if ut did not shoot well. My 220 shoots the accutips ok, and winchester copper impacts great. Try a few different rounds before you pass judgment

Wiser Precision BA-7 Sparrow bino adapter.

Sorry you had trouble. But thanks for bumping this thread. I've been looking for something like this to replace my tripod mounted clamp that wasnt overly expensive. I am clumsy as hell so Ill let you know if I break it

    Cartridge minimums

Its not worth the ticket to bother. Im not letting them regulate me into being a criminal. Ive seen guys lose their RIGHT to hunt for several years by getting caught trying to game the system. If I dont like the laws there I wont spend my money to hunt there. Not pay a fine to line their pockets...

How Big of a Pack for Daypack and Meat Hauling? Any Suggestions?

I bought an Eberlestock f1 frame a few years ago and 4 batwings. Mounted a couple small pouches on the molle for essentials and add batwings as needed for space. Sometimes i dont even use the batwings and just use the straps to hold what I need. I have used it for day, turkey, and coyote hunts...

What's a good public land whitetail state in the midwest?

Southern Illinois has a large national forest. The gun seasons are short and only straightwall rifles and shotguns with slugs are allowed. The gun seasons start the weekend before Thanksgiving and run on and off until mid January. It can get crowded during the first gun seasons. But crossbows...

    Life after stents?

At 46 years old I found out in a rather unpleasant way that I had kidney cancer. It was 6.5 lbs and meant major surgey to remove my kidney along with the mass. Its a strange feeling to hug your wife and wake up 8 hours later in a fog with a 12 inch wound stapled shut below your ribcage. When...
