Will they ever produce RL 26 again?

Keep looking. Get on their notification system. They get different powders coming in regularly, but it also flies off the shelves quickly now that the "regular" powders have prices in the stratosphere. Just remember you'll need to develop your own loads. Might be a good idea if those of us...

    Climate change...deer numbers

You are right about the cycle repeating itself, however... Note that we are currently in a particularly LOW global temperature point. In fact, we are at nearly the lowest average global temperature for the past 260 million years; the lowest was during the "recent" ice age when it reached an...

Will they ever produce RL 26 again?

I am more disgusted with morons who would pay that much for powder than the morons selling at that price.

Will they ever produce RL 26 again?

You and me both bro. Alliant is history, will be plenty content to sit on what I got. Meanwhile, working up recipes for midwest powders to see what works best in my rifles. MP is the only game in town for 8lb under $200 (and no hazmat or shipping charges when bought from American Reloading).

Will they ever produce RL 26 again?

Indeed. Might just have to pull that N565 trigger.

Will they ever produce RL 26 again?

Youch. No RL26 available, but 8 lb RL16 on shelf today. $649.99. No, that is not a typo. Hard to fathom anyone paying that much just for powder. Is 8 lb of powder really comparable in value to a decent scope? I guess for some people it must be or Alliant wouldn't feel they could charge such...

Will they ever produce RL 26 again?

Lucked out couple years ago and snagged 3 pounds of 26 by chance dropping in on LGS. Nada since. Now working on MP655 recipe because no longer expect Alliant to come through. And besides, can you imagine how much they'd charge for an 8-pound jug of 26? For comparison, saw N565 the other day...

223 or 243 for long range practice?

Which cartridge are you training for? Seems to me you would want to train with your selected long-range cartridge and let that consistent practice eliminate recoil as your factor of concern. Might cost more, might take more range time and effort, but better end result. Would it make sense for...

    Climate change...deer numbers

Was there no mention of how white tail are encroaching into mulie habitat and how that is negatively impacting native populations?

    Climate change...deer numbers

Climate change IS a natural cycle. Any climatologist will tell you this planet's climate is in constant flux -- and there is not one blessed thing mankind can do about it. That is the underlying hoax with the "climate change" alarmists.

What TV shows need to come back?

Always look forward to the next Fargo series. As for yesteryear's programs, about the only one I'd truly like to see return is Johnny Quest.

The best all around 243 bullet

Lots of good bullet suggestions on this thread... maybe too many? I am unfamiliar with this cartridge, but inherited a 99 in 243 Win so thinking the 6.5 PRC will stay at home next fall and will give the 99 a try. As a 60s era rifle with a rather peculiar action, any specific bullet(s) known to...

Velociradar vs. Labradar LX vs. Garmin Xero

I'll admit to some surprise at all the Garmin fanboy talk on this thread. Most of my experience has been with Garmin's Rino 650 and their batteries have been an utter disaster. So when the Xero came out I was poised to buy it (as a definite improvement on Labradar), but was hesitant to buy...
