THREE YEAR UPDATE...
Just a couple of new insights this year in my quest to becoming a hand-loader who has some minimal understanding of ballistics and accuracy.
1. Bedding rifles can be more witchcraft than science.
2. When I want to put deer down DRT, a 160 grainer @ an initial 3000...
UPDATE: This thread got me out of sorts this week. So I went back to shooting my 160's, but lessened my powder ~5 grains. Each group was sub MOA and my gun acted more like its old self; but almost 150 feet/sec slower than when I had a 24" bbl. The first pic below was at 100 yesterday. The...
This is a catch and release. Was hunted with last season and has small scratches here and there. Has not been bedded. Does not have pillars. It does have the recoil lug. $120 TYD.

Here's a pic. I never shot it at this length without the break, and I have never shot a suppressor on it Please note this is only an example of 1. I have friends who have had their rifle stay accurate when cutting the bbl back. Mine is still accurate, but not like it was. (I also think I...
I have T3x superlite (7mmRM w/ 24" bbl) and had a 5/8x24 Vias break put on. It didn't change the POI more than an inch and did nothing to the speed, and the gun continued to shoot 160g+ projectiles so, so good. Heck, it shot everything great and developed a reputation of its own at my local...
D - I started down this road when COVID set in in 2020. I too have a T3x in 7mm. ANSWER#1 - No matter the powder and no matter the bullet, I can find an acceptable load (.75 day after day after day; and cold bore shot less than 1" off POA @200) at an acceptable speed (3000 ft/sec with a 160g...
TWO YEAR UPDATE...
I'm still learning.
1. I am now a 4 rifle guy. (all .284s)
2. I am learning older Winchester triggers and Mauser 98 actions.
2. I have thought a lot about the 2 posts above (scopes holding zero). And I have been paying close attention b/t trips to the range. My...
I bought this earlier this year and have been swapping it in and out on my 7mmRM. I pillar bed it before bedding around the lug and tang in my T3x. It shot great. Weighs 24oz. $250 to your door. For more info: https://www.stockysstocks.com/tikka-vg.html

Should anyone find this thread via a search engine like I have, I did what danmayland suggested to the OP (I had the same question as the OP with the exact same specs.) It worked perfectly for 160g Accubonds, Paritions, and Speer BTSP.
I also found these for H1000 reference...
Here's my T3x in 7mmRM. As for a scope, I have tested a VX-Freedom 4-12 with the LR reticle (seen above), a Burris FF2 3-9, a Nikon and something else. They all are good. I feel the Burris and Nikon hold zero the best. I wind up carrying my rifle a lot and it gets knocked around quite a bit...
