Is eyebox directly related to exit pupil? Looks like the Nikon has 14-3.5mm. Tenmile is 11.4-2.3mm.
In comparison,
Nightforce NXS 3.5-15x50 is 14.3-3.6mm.
Nightforce NXS 2.5-10 is 15.5-4.4
I may be able to find one of these to look through somewhere.
Hello,
I only have two scopes that I would call good. A new Trijicon Tenmile 3-18x44 and an old Nikon Monarch 3 3-12x42. I bought the Tenmile because I noticed the Nikon's adjustment were kind of random. The one thing I love about it is the eyebox is incredibly large and easy to get behind...
So 9"-12" groups at 600yds?
If the groups string to left or right could be rifle or scope cant. Scope has to be mounted to rifle as level as possible and probably need a level mounted on the scope rings or rail.
Also may improve with better quality scope because of parallax adjustment.
Points for the hoodie. Also points for adding the best new type of weld. The 3 point ear/cheek/lip weld. With 3 reference points you no longer have an excuse for lack of proper head position.
So KRG Bravo still the go to for an affordable good stock?
I got a Magpul Hunter on one rifle specifically cause I like the hybrid type sporter grip it has and because it was cheap. I like the built in cheek risers because there’s nothing to snag anywhere. Still use factory bottom metal cause I...
I’m going to chime in with something that I don’t know if I’ve seen mentioned. A Pistol grip chassis requires you to carry your rifle in a specific way in order to be ready to shoot at a moments notice. Similar to how you’d carry an AR. Slightly more restrictive than guns that have sporter or...
Did the 4-16x50 Credo have a much better eyebox? I don’t know if it’s just a Trijicon design thing or if it’s the 6x with a kind of small objective for 18 power.
My only other decent scope is an old Nikon Monarch 3 3-12x42. It doesn’t adjust correctly, but it’s got an extremely large eyebox...
I just bought a 3-18x44 Tenmile. The eyebox seems pretty tight and maybe a hair touchy about parallax being a 6x. Was thinking the 4-16x50 might be better in these areas, but no way for me to test without ordering it and comparing. Can anyone comment?
Finally got the scope out to give it a look at longer ranges. Eyebox seems pretty tight. Besides that I’m not going to give it an optical quality review. Seems great, but I haven’t looked through enough to know the difference.
Only beef is the turret clicks seem pretty soft and do not feel very...
Scope showed up last night. I guess I'm getting old, my eyes could barely tell the difference in the bolder 1 mrad windage marks in the reticle tree. It was dark outside, so I couldn't tell much else about it. Right now I'm wondering if my old eyes will even allow me to enjoy the benefits of...
I'm pretty sure the scope will dial to zero with the 20moa cant, just curious about the negatives effects and if I'm actually getting close enough to the bottom of the range to be worried about it. Should have about 10moa left at the bottom end assuming the rifle's receiver isn't too messed up...
Hello,
I'm hoping the Rokslide community can give me a hand with this one!
I just ordered a Trijicon Tenmile 3-18x44. It only has 17.45mrad of elevation(about 60moa). I'm assuming that means I've got about 30moa of downward travel. The rifles are a Bergara 6.5 Creed and a Remington 700 .308...
I dont know much about anything, but when you have a free moment, take a little time to look at the Carnivore diet. Has helped some with similar issues and nothing to lose by trying it.
So I’ve been doing the usual over analyzation of every possible aspect of my AR build and somehow I’m having a hard time finding some recommendations on match grade .223 Wylde barrels. Mainly thinking 16”, but maybe 18”. 223 Wylde chamber, 1/7 or 1/8. Feel like 18” and 1/7 kind of sticks me with...
