It sounds like a lot of the people saying Don't feed them corn have never done it and are repeating what they've heard or forming opinions based on no actual experience, the people saying its fine seem to be the ones that have done it. Seems like I see that a lot on the Interwebs regardless of...
Yeah, a decent amount. Really only in the last half of the barrel channel. I think it’s made to push on the barrel with a pad at the end of the channel. I free floated it. Might go back and add some epoxy with something to stiffen it a little. Hasn’t caused any issues but not as stiff as I’d like.

I have a Coleman scanoe, I’ve never had anything nicer so I probably don’t know what I’m missing. However for duck hunting the swamps here in SC it’s great. Stable, cheap, bomb proof, and holds everything I can put in it. The previous owner drug it over concrete or pavement so what keel it had...
I would think 243ai throated for the 108’s would get you reeeeaally close, although I’m making that assumption from a bunch of research and no real world experience.
Haven’t shot anything with them yet but the Cutthroat 200’s I got were pretty easy to get stupid sharp, easy to tune and have same poi as my field points.
I had a chance to correspond with Ian from MRC this week, he was helping me with another project I’m working on. He was super helpful and pleasant to deal with. We actually talked about this thread a little and I was impressed with his responses, taking responsibility and working through...
I bought cutthroats and did the high FOC thing. Haven’t shot anything with them yet but they fly really well and have a ton of energy when they hit my block target.
I asked the OnX guys about this at a show in feb, they said it was a layer turned on for hardwoods. I told them there weren’t any hardwoods there. They said it was just an algorithm from the LiDAR scan making that determination. I turned off all layers and it went away.
I’m building almost the same gun. My first rifle was a push feed mod 70 in 7mmRM it’s been sitting in the safe for a while. I’ve started doing my own barrel work and have a 7PRC reamer now so it’s going to get a makeover. I think I’ll wait on the Rok Stok too, I almost got a tikka just to get a...
I went cheap for the same reasons you said. I got mine a small locking folder to carry as a pocket knife and tried to impress on them carrying it all the time (except at school) just like a belt and their wallet. After they got their first pocket knife for their birthday I got them a fixed blade...
