I tried Staball Match 39 grains was just under 3400 with 75 eldm SRP brass. I was getting over 100 fps faster with Varget so I didn't try any further. Looks to run + or - within 1 grain of Varget on other cartidges.
That's awesome. I have some 162 eldx thinking of maybe some 168 Barnes. I wanted a Tikka but went with Savage 110 being a lefty not much option an figured if it didn't work out wouldn't hurt my feelings as much putting a different barrel on it since it was so cheap.
Good to hear. I'm only hunting whitetail which I know it's overkill for. From reducing velocity on ballistic calculator still looks fairly flat an plenty of energy to 5 or 600 yds.
Anyone regret their 18 inch? Chrono some 180 eldms today 2810 with 22 inch barrel. I'm going atleast 20 but really want 18. Got a 16.5 inch 7mm-08 an I love it. Going for similar set up but more ftlb behind it. 5 or 600 yd gun.
35 degrees this morning one group 39.2 tighter one 39.4 SRP cci 450s. 95 percent likely this it what I'm running. I'm gonna try Staball Match just cause of price an availability vs Varget. Pretty happy with that though.
Look to be about 50, I used hand trickler an trickled on scales so grains should be good made sure scale said stable an always zero. Has me debating on LRP brass now too. Only ones I had were 20 of the Peterson that was in the Texas Ammunition that I sighted in with. My SRP is Alpha
So I ordered a 7 PRC with intent of cutting to 20 inches...debating on 18 after this with my 7mm-08 an factory hornady ammo that's suppose to be 2950 which I'm gonna find someone with a 24 inch just to find out lol. My 7mm-08 is on 16.5 inches suppressed.
So I had my chrono too close trying to keep it out of snow so the Varget is really only 39 gr with LRP. The other shot is an RL23 I had plenty of. Should of shot it first. Everything else I worked up. First shot is small rifle CCI 450 second is Federal 210. Interesting how the large rifle was...
I'm planning on it Thursday. Gonna load some up tonight or tomorrow night an go out Thursday. Suppose to be 45 that morning. I'm gonna shoot some 75eld with RL23 that I have already loaded then gonna try 4350, RL16, Varget an 6.5 Staball in the Alpha SRP an Peterson LRP see how they do. Friend...
I got 20 of the Large rifle I'm gonna try with same load. I'm using cci 450s an was around 50 the day I lined it in. May go out later if I got time only 35 today.
That stinks, I was gonna try superformance powder till I got reading about temp stability of it. I'm using RL23 now. Around 3300fps 22 inch barrel. Gonna clean some brass an try Varget, 4350, RL 16 an 6.5 staball. See how they do.
I can't speak on a 6 Creed but I'm about to order a 22 Creed barrel for my 110 in either a 18 or 20 inch barrel for just hunting rig. Other is for yotes at night. I just love to shoot it.
I bought two boxes of the Texas ammo to take any of my error out of the equation with 80 eldm their 2.630 oal an they shoot good. That's what my 75 eldm are set at an it seems to like that length.
I do appreciate all the info. I know I'm not bumping powder charge up any. Primers looks good, brass looks good, bolt opens well after each shot. It's my coyote rig so I want it to shoot good but probably nothing past 350 or 400 with my thermal. I do want to building a regular 18 inch hunting...
No, that's why I come to these forums for help. First gun that I have ever reloaded for. Shot 3 rounds of each so 9 rounds that were seated further out than what I decided to go with. When I bought my 300 prc I stocked up on ammo while I waited for gun to be built then was getting hard to find...
