7mm PRC short barrel?
I have an 18 inch 7prc shoots good but had to get the AW2 reamer an still can't run book max. I'm getting 2825 with 162s which isn't bad. But just cause of the head ache I wish I'd did 280 ai. Also run a Resonator R2 with no issues. -

Yeah that's 18 inch. I could get more with Hornady Brass but can't even keep a primer in them after 3rd resize. I'm using peterson. When I used virgin brass I could really push it. They are finicky. Mine likes about .020 off nothing less nothing more. I just go off comparator not sure what my... -

I think I may settle on H1000 for now. Gonna reduce load touch little pressure still. Cold bore shot was to the right. Stacked the 3 to the left am hoping just me that pulled the low shot. Liking the speed an ES an SD though. -

I never tried H1000 till other day. I should have fired a fouling shot first it was 1.5 inch group. But 2 were beside each other. But n565 I thought I missed with second shot an 3rd the velocity jumped 26 fps or I think it'd been better cause first 2 shots were 2 fps apart. So I'm gonna do two 5... -

If I remember right I ran up to 42.5 in virgin Alpha SRP with cci 450s. An got 3400 with a 22 inch barrel 1in 8 75eldm. I'm not running 39.2 Varget averaging 3490 with 75s -

That new Ramshot Grand might do well with it they got load data for it. Pretty cheap at the moment. It reminds you of StaBall powders fine as heck -

I had better speeds from StaBall match than I did 6.5 before i hit pressure. Idk how it'd do with 88s but 4350 an Varget are pretty hard to beat imo -

It's pretty easy with N560 too but it's hard to find an right now the Grand is new an cheap so long as I get 2800 or so I'm happy -

This was all the more spice my gun likes with Peterson Brass. Not even max according to Hodgdon but.....pretty good for 18 inch barrel. Got a few other loadings to try today. This stuff is super fine like the StaBall powders. So maybe a few kernels difference made the numbers vary. -

I never had anything that loose. The Peterson was tight for sure. I bought Alpha SRP for my Creedmoor an it was very tight. Definitely a reason you pay more for the brass. I wanted ADG but wasn't in stock. -

I got more speed with less powder after resizing my brass. I ran 100 pieces of new Peterson around max good velocity then was way over pressure after resizing. 65 is all more mine likes now with 162s an gold medal match magnum primers. Thought about using a couple match large rifle just to see... -

New to muzzleloader.
Yeah after reading that link you sent me sounds like has to pretty well be a magnum primer. Local shop has the 209 plug I may get it an the varaflame an just try each if I can ever find any good 209s. Not gonna have much time to hunt this fall cause of work so I'm trying to get ahead an have...- prcwv
