for light weight dual blade(wood/bone) the SVEN saw is hard to beat. the Wyoming pack saw is the heavier duty version of a break down saw with both wood and bone blades.
Unfortunately, you have to cover A LOT of ground even if your E-scouting was on point. If you are hunting heavily timbered land, covering that ground on foot is about your only option. If you are hunting more open land, finding good glassing points to strike out to will save you some miles. Even...
LRX and Hammer are what I have had luck with, maybe step down in bullet weigh to up the velocity with both.
I notice when I can push the LRX faster than 3100 fps (muzzle) it will shed the pedals within 250yards giving great performance just like the hammers but still expanding down to 1600fps...
I have a Duplex light frame coyote brown with a multi cam 44 mag bag on it, also a coyote brown ma deuce bag as well. Want to sell as a package. Bags and frame are 3 Years old and have a little wear and dirt on them but fully intact and functional. For the whole the frame and two bags I would...
I have the same off center tip on my 7mm 145gr lrx, however I was able to get a 1/2 MOA load in my 7SAUM at 3190 so i let it slide. I have good luck with Barnes loaded in my 257wby, 300wby, 8mm rem mag in the past and have not had an issue with them yet.
The 6mm Arc and 6mm creedmore are really putting out some impressive numbers with thier long heavy for caliber bullets. Along with all the factory ammo that's available, its a no brainer. A 16" barrel is going to "hurt" velocity compared to what the box says but that makes it almost perfect...
@JJ1179 if you are lucky and still have strelok it's just as easy to calibrate the reticle, gives exact yardages and projected wind hold. This is my reticle calibrated for my 264win shooting 156gr EOLs. Its also not hard to split the hold overs between hash marks and dots.
I have the z3 4-12, z5 3.5-18, z5 5-25 all with the BRX/BRH reticle. They are great second focal plane scopes with capped turrets that have awsome long range reticle in them that help you reach out further than typical bdc reticles. I have used mine to take 3 deer from 600-740 yards and a...
Get a custom action in a rem 700 foot print. A defiance classic is only running $900 right now. There are a lot of prefits out there for them now and a lot of great aftermarket parts. It's 200 more than a tikka but you will have way more aftermarket support and won't be restricted with COAL in...
Nope, they need to be managed year round. I do not trust the "state" that imposes completely arbitrary dates that we the people can and cannot shoot a preditor. Wolves are the farthest from being "endangered", there has not been a single wolve population in the USA that has been on the decline...
I have a carbon six tikka prefit that's 20" chambered in 338 rcm. Comes with 3 boxes of Hornady superformance as well. It's got a threaded muzzle, has about 50 rounds down it. Selling because my buddy wanted a 16" barrel to run suppressed. He is looking to get $650 for the package.
