    .204/BE Rampage Component Recommendation

Depends on the shaft, but for most Ethics makes three systems; HIT with an end cap (analogous to IW with a HIT), HIT with an outsert sleeve, and conventional outsert system. I am personally in the position of needing to slow my arrows down (30.5" draw at 75 lbs), so normally unless I'm building...

Iron will field points worth it?

Hmmm... don't know about the IWs, but I haven't had problems with the Kudupoints being larger than shaft diameter; it's actually a benefit. The back side of the point is beveled, so while the FP makes a big hole as it goes in, the bevel helps you pull the arrow. On micro or 204 shafts with...

    .204/BE Rampage Component Recommendation

I've got no experience with Easton or IW components, but I've built a bunch of Black Eagle, Easton, and Sirius arrows using Ethics components. Both for myself and for friends and relatives. I would stay away from any Ethics system (HIT or conventional outsert) that uses an aluminum sleeve...

Iron will field points worth it?

Kudupoint field points are a fraction of the price and have the same larger than shaft diameter feature. I've been using them for a couple of years now. If you need more than 150 grains you'd have to look elsewhere, but they work great for me.

    Arrow spine help

I've not played around with X-Impacts at all, but I've built several sets of Carnivores, Rampages and Spartans for both myself and family members. All the arrows I built for myself have been 250 spine with Ethics outsert systems; never less than 100 gr total weight for the outsert system...

Easton 75 grain ss half out vs Brass HIT

I absolutely agree with you about Ethics aluminum. I built a set of BE Spartans with their all-aluminum outsert system a couple of years ago (for whatever reason, they don't make a steel sleeve that works with that shaft). Those arrows flew really well, but both outserts would no longer spin...

    Bow sight

Well, if it's within 60 yards, I don't have that problem with my SH; I've got a 5 pin Fast Eddie with the 60 pin set up as my floater. My BG is a 3 pin slider, so it's good to 40 or 45, depending on how I set the pins up. I like sliders for the ability to shoot farther than fixed pins allow...

    Bow sight

I actually did have an opportunity at a mule deer once in Wyoming that was probably not quite that extreme, but was at least a 50 degree down angle. I missed high. I've seen other places while hunting where something similar could happen, but you're right, they're the exception. You'd have...

    Bow sight

I've looked at the ezv before. DIY Sportsman reviewed the sight on his YT channel, and the one thing he mentioned about the sight that gave me pause was that the system just doesn't work on very high angle shots (the kind where you might be 60 yards away from the animal on the hypotenuse of the...

    Bow sight

I've had two Black Golds and a Spot Hogg. I really like them both, but between them it depends on what's worth more to you. BG pins are brighter IMO, and their sights are a lot lighter. However, I also managed to break one of the BGs when I took a header over an unseen rock in Oregon... and I...

    Crispi Boots Fit?

Anyone have experience with both Crispis and Danners? I am very familiar with Danner sizing thanks to having been issued multiple pairs of Danners over the years; if Crispis size the same way, that should hopefully get me to right on the first time.
