Went on my first hunt last weekend in Oklahoma. Harvested 2 hogs. One boar and one meat hog.
My Rivers Bend Gun Co built 260ai performed pretty well but I think a 6.5 grendel would have been easier to maneuver.
This is a ffp optic that features a 34mm main tube, locking turrets with zero stop, Sigs illuminated Milling reticle and built in digital level. I was saving this for a project but decided to go with a VX5hd instead. I'd like $715 SOLD if you're interested please pm me.

@Lone Hunter 1 , When the hardware becomes available again, I will be doing this project again on a Grayboe Renegade and I'll make sure to take pictures throughout or maybe make a video. I made a series of tutorial videos for assembling ARs on my YT channel last year. I'll have to time lapse...
Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures when I inletted the stock. First thing I did after cutting the cheekpiece out was find the center line of the stock again. Then I laid out where the hardware was going to go on blue painters tape (that way if I needed to make alterations to my lay out...
You can do it!!! Just find a stock/chassis you like beforehand just in case things go south, lol. I live near KC so If things went sideways I was going to run down to Manners (MCS) and pick a stock up in North town.
My go-to is the accuracy 1st but I'm swapping my mounts over to the Badger C1 system and they have one that mounts in the side so I'll probably be moving over to that as time goes on.

I guess to answer your question, IF you're adding a pic base, low rings should give you plenty of clearance between the scope and barrel.
To add to my above post, I try to stay away from "direct mount" bases or 2-piece bases for the same reasons as stated above. But for hunting...
Are you wanting to add a picatinny base? I personally add a quality Pic base (usually badger ordnance) to every rifle I own so if I want to swap optics. It helps quell my mind with the fact that I have a product with known specs and quality features that I know will be a standard across all my...
I have 2 Frankford Arsenal Intellidroppers and 1 RCBS Charge master lite (not Bluetooth to my knowledge). I can take the charges from any of the 3 and they all weigh the same on each scale. I have also checked them on my Dillon beam scale and all 3 charges checked out.
One thing I've...
What hardware kit are you going to use? The one I used is "unavailable". I considered making my own but there is a decent looking kit on eBay for under $70.
Just wanted to share a project I did on my CZ 457 MTR.
I was on the fence about a chassis or modifying the MTR stock. I wanted to save a little coin, so I decided to try to install an adjustable cheek piece myself. I found a seller in Lithuania (weird, right?) on Ebae selling the kit for $40...
Good morning, Rok-sliders(?). Just wanted to introduce myself. I have skimmed this forum in the past and found good information so I decided it was time to join. I recently found some good info for building a hunting rifle although I don't hunt it is a new hobby I'd like to start this year...
